Creating awareness for your healthcare facility, especially with little or no budget, can be a daunting task. New competitors, a lack of prior marketing, a poor reputation in the past and lack of funds are all reasons why your facility may be experiencing a decline in patients or a lack of growth.

While a difficult task for any business, creating awareness for a healthcare facility can be especially daunting because there is so much competition out there. Here are a few inexpensive ways to let people know you're out there and what you stand for.

1. Write articles or provide tips to local homeowners' associations.

2. Provide educational information for small businesses in the community by contributing to your local chamber of commerce. Think workplace safety, workman's comp, etc.

3. Publish articles or inexpensive advertorials in your local community paper.

4. Partner with realtors in the area and target new families moving into the community. Make sure they know where you are, help them find a local PCP, etc. Be a source for referrals. This can be as easy as creating a handout they give to new families when they buy a house.

5. Similar to how you partner with realtors to introduce yourself to new families in the area, you can also joint venture with apartment complexes and building management companies. Both residential and commercial management companies provide welcome packets for new tenants. Why not include some information about your facility and how to find you? And the great thing about this approach is that once it's done, you don't have to worry about doing it again. It's an easy system to put in place for ongoing marketing.

6. In addition to the welcome packets, you can publish "health tips" articles in building association newsletters, too. Both residential and commercial complexes usually publish a newsletter for their tenants and are always looking for ways to add value to the publication. They're always looking for content. Help them out!

7. Work with your local newspaper to add a "health" section to the newspaper's Web site. Make sure the paper knows you're available for interviews or questions on any healthcare related topics that come up. You can also post a calendar of events, etc.

8. Offer free or low-cost seminars to educate the public. Participating physicians may conduct these.

9. Can you do a joint venture with someone in the community? Be creative. For example, maybe the local kids' sports team. You can be the official sponsor and provide free tips in their newsletter or have staff people at the games for parents to ask questions.

10. Remember, people like free things. What can you give away for free? A free report or free consultation? A free blood pressure check? Give this free thing away in all your communication pieces.

Digestion troubles are an everyday occurrence these days, since very few people eat a properly balanced diet. The answer to most of these troubles is very simple, though most do not realize that. With a little more focus on what you put into your body, you can effectively eliminate these troubles.
I know, you have heard it before - drink plenty of water. You may think, how boring. This is sound advice, yet how many of us consciously pay attention to the amount of water we drink each day? Do you know if you are getting enough? When we think of dehydration, we visualize someone collapsing due to sun exposure or from heat exhaustion after vigorous physical activity. But in actuality, dehydration is an insidious condition that can creep up on a person unaware.
With the holidays right around the corner you can never be too prepared. You want to make sure that you and your loved ones are safe and protected. One way to do this is to be CPR certified. CPR saves the lives of thousands of Americans every day, and the holiday season is no different. In fact, CPR certification is the top life saver during this time of year! Make sure that you are prepared for the holidays with training in CPR/AED and First Aid techniques!
A medical practice can employ a set number of employees to spend their entire day retrieving and filing documents. Think of not only all those wasted hours filing the old records in a warehouse or some storeroom but also in money to pay for that storage space and work to be done. It only makes sense for a medical office to invest in an RIS PACS system like a mammography workstation to save both time and money.
Medical records were traditionally stored on a physical means such as X-ray film, paper notes, and even photographs instead of digitally such as cardiology PACS. It was never easy either. The storage of physical documents can be quite problematic, since not all document types fit in the same size folders or storage spaces. In the current medical environment, patients are undergoing procedures all over the world. Many international patients travel to US cities for specialty treatment. Some even travel to participate in clinical trials. Coordinating all of these medical treatments and visits through a paper trail is a time-consuming, and often dangerous, procedure.
Digital PACS archive provides doctors and specialists with a remarkable view of the body's inside structure and functioning without needing to cut the body. Imaging technologies such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, cardiology PACS, PET, and X-ray allows doctors and health professionals to perform a wide variety of minimally-invasive medical tests, treatments and procedures.
Tampa is a city located at the west central portion of the state of Florida. It is set on a peninsula found across the Tampa Bay which extends from St. Petersburg. Clearwater is also said to comprise the entire Tampa metropolitan area. It is the home for a variety of tourist attractions and is said to define more of the health-conscious individual’s mindset.
