Mallorca has transformed in recent years to become one of the best new golfing hotspots in Europe. Mallorca golf holidays are really growing in popularity thanks to the recently-built top-quality courses, fine Mediterranean food, the fine weather and a heavy investment in re-establishing the island as the ideal escape for middle-class Europe. Whether you’re going for golf, golf, golf or if you fancy a top-class hotel, you’ll have a big smile on your face. If you’re planning on a golf break in Mallorca, these are the 5 courses you simply must pay a visit to:

Canyamel Golf

This is one of those golf courses which is a genuine joy to play from the first hole to the last. It’s a very pretty set-up and boasts stunning views - by the fourth hole you can see over the edge of a cliff into the brilliant blue waters beyond. The actual design is tricky so you’ll need to think off the tee and be happy to settle for 36 points. Definitely one to play on a golf break in Mallorca.

Club De Golf

Scoring an impressive 17/20 in the Peugeot Golf Guide, this Trent Jones Jr design offers coastal views along with a fine game of golf. Long holes and some steep slopes provide the core of the challenge so hit your drives to the right spot and always hit longer than you think necessary. A very nice course with an authentic “Spanish” feel to it.
Golf in Majorca doesn’t come much better than this.

Golf Park Mallorca

One of the more recent additions to Mallorca’s golf courses, this Jack Nicklaus-design has swiftly joined the ranks of Europe’s best. You’ll need to be accurate to score well, and approach shots require special concentration to deal with the hallmark Nicklaus hazards - bunkers, water and huge greens. Already a clients’ favourite and arguably the final piece in the Mallorcan golf jigsaw...There is now no reason not to go on
a Mallorca golf break.

Pula Golf

Host to the Mallorcan Open and with a mountain backdrop, this is a course that combines good looks with an enjoyable challenge. In fact, it’s one of the most difficult in Mallorca especially when the wind picks up, and matching the Par of 70 is a tough task...Particularly off the back tees at 6,676 yards length.

Son Vida

In the shadow of Son Vida’s castle, this is Mallorca’s oldest course and it has aged well with the occasional tweak to the excellent original Fred Hawtree design. Renowned for its great greens, it’s also a very lovely walk with a super lunch on offer too. However, make sure you don’t get lulled into a false sense of security because the back nine can bite and golf balls are not cheap!

The sun, the fine sea food and the splendid golf make golf breaks in Mallorca a real treat. Plus, in the golfing peak months of September through to June, you’ll see this beautiful island at is very best. Classy sunshine golf.

The TaylorMade Raylor has been with us since 1988 and is reputed to be the favorite utility wood amongst players from time immemorial. This club was particularly adept at rescuing those, "gone into the rough", tee shots and returning them to, or close to, the course.
Beginning in 1934, the Augusta national golf club has been the location of the prestigious Masters Tournament. The course is located in Augusta Georgia and is one of the most well known courses in the world and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The course is located on land that used to be a tree nursery.
It is not only a matter of money but it is more a matter of how you handle the opportunities around you to be able to fit the landscape. You can't show at an exquisite party if you don't have the proper manners. Period! Also, you can't go in an expensive casino and play if you don't know how to behave yourself and of course how to play. I went recently in a big casino in Monte Carlo and I looked at the people playing. They were like students practicing a lesson learned a few years back and then they only practiced it. This is also the case for golf.
When autumn/winter comes, the nights draw in and the rounds of golf grow further apart than most would like. Rather than put the clubs away until March, here are some workouts you can have to keep your game in shape over the winter months and be on top form for the start of next season.
The chip shot is probably one of the easier shots, but it can still go wrong. If you use your same stance and wist action you have used to get your ball in a chipping position, the chances are it will go wrong. There are three key elements to chipping you must remember.
On the first tee, locate Mount Keyser, which stand majestically, just to the east of the course. Finding the right speed on the ice-slick surfaces is up to you. For new golfers, or those who just want to warm up a bit, there's a nine-hole short course nearer the hotel.
All those who play golf would have heard about many golf resorts in Florida, California, Carolina's and many other places where the weather is warm. But you will be surprised to know that New England has many fine golf resorts. Also many of these golf resorts in New England are open all year round. So now when the winter winds blows cold and the snow is piled high in New England you can still think GOLF and book a weekend at one of the New England Golf Resorts.
