In the history of kiosks, the ATM kiosk was probably one to be fully interactive. You have probably seen them at banks and you can access them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It doesn't matter if the bank is open or closed. You can now offer them as a convenience to your customers. They could be an additional source of income. They are prominent even in the hospital industry and they can be place almost anywhere as long as their space for them.

You will have to choose what kind of keypad that you want for your ATM kiosk. You could go with a keypad that has Braille for the vision-impaired. They are subject to much use so you could go with a touch screen as it allows millions of touches without a problem. The screen should be screen-resistant since it could get heavy nicks that create false touches and could make it harder for customer to complete a transaction.

If you have a cash business that does not want to pay credit pay processing fees, an ATM kiosk could be a tremenous advantage. You don't have to pay the fees. Your customer has to pay fees to bank for their transations or any other applicable fees. You could use the ATM kiosk to advertise for another company. The other company pays to adverised on the ATM kiosk and you can get more revenue for your company.

Having an ATM kiosk can be a tremendous boon to cash businesses that don't care to pay credit card processing fees. By providing an ATM kiosk in your place of business, you pass the expense onto your customers. They pay you a fee for using the machine plus any applicable fees to their bank. You can also use your ATM kiosk as an advertising vehicle. Removable panels at the top of the machine can feature an advertisement for another company and mean more revenue for your business.

In the future, the ATM kiosk is going to probably be a hybrid model that does more than just cash withdrawals and account balances. The newer machines could be doing loan applications, bonds and certificates of deposts. You could even trade some of your stocks on the stock market using the newer models. The additional revenue opportunities for you are endless.

The ATM kiosk is like an employee that constantly collects and delivers information quickly. The big difference between an employee and an ATM kiosk is that you don't have to pay them money. They work and work, but you don't have to pay a dime.

The entire ATM inudstry is going to take off dramatically. In 2007, the IHL Consulting Group think that kiosk transactions will approach $1 trillion. One of the reasons is that ATM kiosks can provide the following services:

- Managing self-serve checkout lines at supermarkets
- Checking in and printing boarding passes at the airport
- Printing or displaying detailed directions, grades, retail pricing or -availability, bridal registries, and more
- Accepting bill payments
- Taking job applications
- Verifying fingerprints, iris scans, or other security measures
