If you have an Internet business then a few of your goals may include increasing revenue, building your list and maximizing your exposure on the Internet. You may try to achieve these goals through a more traditional business model that is used in brick and mortar businesses. You are stunting your profits if you continue to work in this manner alone. Instead you need to learn how to automate your Internet business.

What does it mean to automate an Internet business? Automating an Internet business involves integrating a traditional "active" business model and a "passive business model. You need to understand how to harmonize these two business models to optimize the success of your Internet business.

A traditional "active" business model can be broken down into the following steps:
1. You create a product.
2. You drive traffic to your website.
3. You sell your product.
4. You deliver the product.
5. You repeat the process.

One major problem with this traditional business model is that you have to actively be a part of the process all the time. If you skip a step then you will not make any money or your business will fail.

Another disadvantage to solely using a traditional active business model is that you don't earn money from a product after the product is not "hot" anymore. For example, the typical process is that you launch a product and it initially generates money, but then tapers off as the market becomes saturated. The initial product is then dumped in search of a new product. Other times you may alter the copy, but it increases sales only temporarily. This is a time consuming process and not the most effective way to make money.

A "passive" business model can be broken down into the following steps:
1. You create content.
2. You publish the content to your website.
3. You drive traffic to your website.
4. You monetize money from the content.
5. You repeat the process.

An example of the passive business model is when you engage in Google AdSense. Google AdSense is when you place Google advertisements on your website. You earn money every time a visitor clicks on one of these advertisements. You are essentially selling real estate on your website to advertisers. A passive model works well in the Internet business environment, but it does not maximize your profit if it is your sole business method.

The question of which business model is more effective can be answered by saying that a combination of the two business models is the best option. Integrate active and passive strategies in your Internet business so you can earn money all the time.

I see it happening all the time... websites with no physical mailing address. It's as if they don't exist anywhere but in the scary world of cyberspace. I say scary because that's exactly what a high percentage of the web browsing population thinks of the Internet. When these people are looking to purchase a product and don't see a physical address, they get scared, and very likely abandon the purchase. And don't think that a typical email address for your contact information cuts it. People want a physical location.
If you are attempting to start a business online or if you are simply trying to increase your traffic and revenue, focusing on a niche market can give you the edge that you need in order to reach the high goals that you have most assuredly set for yourself. There are so many different niches in the overall market that any web site on any topic can find a niche and fill it. When you specialize, you are more likely to succeed.
You probably know someone like me. I'm the kind of person and constantly in need of reminders to do the simplest things. I'm talking about things like sending out the monthly payments for my credit cards, electricity, cable, water, rent, and car loan or I will more or less forget all about the darn things.
In the beginning of the Internet, not many people created their own website for the simple fact that the Internet wasn't that popular back in the days. As time passed by, the Internet gained more and more popularity and in the present the number of Internet users is simply incredible not to mention that the numbers are still climbing.
When we talk about a nook, we are merely focusing on a specific area of a service or product sector. Think of nooks and crannies in a room. A simple, but clear, example of a nook would be Lasik eye surgery. It is a nook within the larger field of eye care and much larger field of medical services. The key to making money in your particular area is to focus on a specific nook that provides either a large volume of business or small volume with lucrative profit margins.
So just how exactly can you start your own profitable internet business? There are a number of great business models, but some are easier, less time consuming, more automated, and more profitable that others. There are 5 simple internet businesses that I use all together to earn a substantial amount of passive income online. You can use them to and begin your own wealthy internet entrepreneur lifestyle.
There are many ways to promote your company or yourself online, but in my opinion, the trick is to adopt just one strategy and master it. Once you have mastered that, then you can start to develop other strategies one at a time using the experience you have gained. I don't know your financial position, but if you are in an MLM company which I think you are, then you are probably like the the other millions out there that doesn't really know how to market effectively.
