The Pro Turbo retails for under $50, comes with a metal wall plate, automatic shutoff when the appliance is placed back in the holder and a 1600 watt motor. The Portable also comes with these features, whereas the Euro HangUp comes with a larger 1875 watt motor. If you want a wall mounted dryer, then you should definitely go for the Euro, as it has a larger motor - quicker drying times - and features a contoured handle and its general look is much more appealing than the Pro Turbo. However, if you're one of those who like to take your blow dryer with you when you go on vacation, the Portable could be worth looking at, though personally, I'd buy the Euro for the bathroom and buy a separate appliance for travelling, the T3 Overnight Travel Hair Dryer being an excellent appliance.

If you don't want a wall mounted appliance, then you could do worse than opting for the Andis Tourmaline Ionic Nano Ceramic Hair Dryer (ACM-1). It's ionic with tourmaline that bathes your hair with lots of negative ions that reduce drying time (by breaking down water particles into smaller ones) and hydrating your hair (as the smaller droplets are absorbed into each shaft of hair) to leave it looking shinier and feeling healthier.

The ACM-1 has 4 heat settings and speed controls and a cool shot button for locking in curls. It also comes with ceramic diffuser, concentrator and pick.

If there are any criticisms, it would be that it's not the quietest blow dryer on the market and the power cord could be a little longer. But, overall, it's a very good appliance, especially with its low price tag.

Nano-Silver technology is the latest innovation. First used in flat irons, it is now being used in some hair dryers. Basically, this technology kills 99% of bacteria found on the appliance, which means the appliance and your hair is kept cleaner, so your hair stays the way you want it for longer.

Andis was among the first to incorporate this technology in its products. The Nano-Silver Tourmaline Ceramic hair dryer comes with a powerful 1875 watt motor, 10 foot power cord and 4 heat/speed settings and cool shot button. You also get a metal nozzle, resin nozzles and a pick.

The only real criticism would be that this isn't the lightest dryer on the market - all those metal components - so, if your hair is long and thick you might find using it a little tiring. But, apart from this small criticism, I would say it represents great value for money at a little over $50.
