It's no longer a secret that there are many drug rehab centers out there. What has become worrisome to the average drug addict or his or her family members is getting reliable and reputable drug and alcohol rehab centers. Many people, unfortunately have fallen into the hands of incompetent and fraudulent rehab centers that only made their conditions worse. In other words, they were ripped off without being helped to get off addiction. As a result, they exclaim that its no use trying since these centers too were not able to help them.

But you know what; there are reliable and reputable drug rehab centers very near to you or in your state that can be of great help to you. These centers are well known across the United States of America and the entire world. They are well equipped with good equipments and man-power that will help you within a reasonable short period of time to get off and stay off drug or alcohol addiction.

Are you ready for the list of good and reliable rehab centers?

The following centers are ranked among the best in the industry.

- Narconon Stone Hawk: This center is recognized throughout the country as the leader in residential treatment of addiction, whether alcohol or drug. The center has been in the business for more than 37 years. Its success rate is high. Narconon uses an alternative to traditional programs often used by most drug rehab centers.

- Azure Acres Recovery Center: Azure Acres also among top drug rehab centers. The center has been providing adult chemical dependency treatment services for more than four decades. It's located in the midst of a redwood forest in Sonoma County, just north of San Francisco.

- Harmony Place: This center is an internationally renowned residential treatment facility. It specializes in a 12-Step based, individualized program for chemical dependency and dual disorders.

During my many hours of research on these and many other reputable drug rehab centers, I discovered that most of them have offices in almost 85-100 percent of the states in America and some of them have even extended their good practices to some countries of the world.

However, I need to stress that if any of the above mentioned and other similar reliable drug rehab centers are not situated in your area, don't panic. What you should do is either to continue to search for a good and reliable center in your location or if it won't dig a hole in your pocket, move to where any of these centers is located. Never check into a rehab center because of its proximity or low fees. This is not an ideal way to get good and reliable treatment.

No matter your decision, have it at the back of your mind that drugs impact negatively on its victim. Once it gets hold on its victim, it doesn't let go quickly. Hence, you must ensure that you get one of the good and reliable drug rehab centers in your location or move to where they're located to get off drugs.

Let’s say you did a “man on the street” survey of Americans and asked them what religion they practiced. Off the top of my head I would guess that well over half would say “Christian.” That response might take a few different forms, as many would respond “Catholic,” or “Lutheran,” or name some other denomination. Taking their response on face value, you then ask them if they are a disciple. A what? You might follow up and ask them if they have had any training beyond the confirmation or first communion that so many kids go through. Chances are they will say they have not, unless they went to a religious school.

Everybody knew that “Jerry” needed to get some help with his drinking. His routine of having a couple of drinks with the boys after work began to include several after dinner drinks as well. The change in him was gradual, but over time everybody knew something had to be done. Jerry had missed meetings with his daughter’s teacher, and had not attended a soccer game or dance recital in months.

The expressions on their faces reflect their experience of helplessness and fear, when people recall what it is like to come close to drowning. It’s difficult at best to try to imagine what near drowning is like for those of us who have not gone through that experience, but the frightening tales that are shared in our group discussion on spirituality and 12-Step bring a chilling illustration to our understanding of the first three steps.
