We are living in 21st century and if we say that today the pace of life has gained its momentum and life has become very demanding then it won't be wrong. Today, living in developed countries and especially in big cities has become a challenge that one has to face on a daily basis. No one can deny from the fact that presently our life has become very chaotic and everyday our body has to face different physical and mental tension and emotional strain. Now Ayurveda which is considered as a science based upon ancient Indian philosophy, states that factors like high blood pressure, emotional stress or mental tiredness directly affects the health of your heart. According to ayurveda, heart is one vital organ that has the spirit of all body tissues and further helps in maintaining and promoting healthy life.

As per ayurveda, the body is governed by three doshas named as Vata, Pitta and Kapha and our heart health is also managed by three sub-doshas commonly known as Vyana Vata (blood flow and beat), Sadhaka Pitta (emotional balance), Avalambaka Kapha (Sense of security) and Vyana Vata (blood flow and beat). Healthy heart lead to healthy mind and so extreme emotional anxiety can be very damaging. If we look at the present scenario today heart disease has become very common and affecting most of the people living across the globe. According to some recent medical surveys, heart disease has become a key health problem for many people. Moreover in accordance to Ayurveda, some of the other main reasons of heart disease are improper diet, anxiety and lifestyle.

Furthermore, it is easy to understand that a valid treatment for disease is only feasible if we implement a holistic approach as the one adopted in ayurveda. According to ayurveda, a holistic approach to heart can help in overcoming many heart problems. Ayurvedic healing covers a wide range of practices that comprise diet, herbal remedies and spiritual practices.

So if you are thinking to improve your heart health, then here are some ayurvedic recommendations that can regulate and strengthen your heart:

1. Combine butter milk along with garlic and slurp it two times in a day. Garlic is very crucial and useful in controlling blood pressure and thus helps in improving heart problems.

2. Wet fenugreek in water and store it over night. Now chew them in the next morning in empty stomach. This practice helps in dropping cholesterol and fats, which further reduce the chaces of having heart attack.

3. Terminalia arjuna and jaharmorha are other ayurvedic drugs that assist in the cardio vascular treatment.

4. Have fresh ginger tea by steaming a little grated or sliced ginger in a cup, if not then and add it to your rice or soup. Consuming a small amount of ginger every day can prevent you from heart disease.

5. Perform ayurvedic massages with warm vata oils melt that helps in melting away aches, improves circulation, reduces psychological tiredness, and thus decrease blood pressure and heart rate.

6. Meditation is next best method to dissolve anxiety and allocate the body to restore to health. Meditating for just 10 to 20 minutes twice in a day, can help in healing a person's heart.

7. Follow Pranayama or breathing exercises. This exercise has beneficial effect on the functioning of the cardio-pulmonary system. The best point to consider in breath control in pranayama exercise supports heart muscles and finally aid in improving the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood vessels.

Thus, ayurveda believes in prevention. So spend some time everyday performing these things that can give you contentment and improve the health of your heart.
