Blower fans and industrial fans and other commercial fans are designed to move air and/ or powders in industrial and commercial settings. Most common applications of blower fans include air circulation for personnel, exhaust or material handling.

Uses Of Blower Fans/ Industrial Fans:
Blower fans and industrial fans are most commonly used to provide personnel and spot cooling in industrial and commercial buildings where air conditioning is not feasible or affordable. Circulating fans can solve problems like heat stratification, dampness and stagnation of air. They can provide general ventilation in heavy-duty commercial and industrial applications like factories, warehouses, gymnasiums, and underground parking garages to name a few. Blower fans and industrial fans are mostly used for high-volume and high-static pressure applications. Blower fans are primarily designed to remove foul air and replace it with fresh air from the outdoors. Many blower fans and industrial fans are classified with a numerical designation based upon the construction of the fan.

Configurations:
Blower fans and industrial fans are available in a number of configurations, based on the location in which they are to be placed or mounted. Some of these are duct fans and blowers, roof and ceiling ventilators, wall and panel mount fans, pressure and volume blowers, freestanding fans and plenum fans.

Duct Fans And Blowers, Roof And Ceiling Ventilators, Wall And Panel Mount Fans:
Duct fans and blowers are designed to be mounted in-line duct by flanges or support braces. Roof and ceiling ventilator fans have mounting brackets or flanges for ceiling installation or roof exhaust specifically. Wall and panel mount fans also have mounting brackets or flanges for wall installation or exhaust.

Pressure And Volume Blowers:
Pressure and volume blowers are usually found in an enclosure on a factory floor. The mounting in the enclosure is designed to provide a common mounting platform for the blower and its electric motor. This enclosure can be mounted on vibration isolators known as the unitary base or vibration isolation base.

Freestanding Fans And Plenum Fans:
Freestanding fans do not need to be mounted. They can be placed in any area that requires standard air circulation. This group also includes many portable styles of blower fans and industrial fans. Plenum fans are designed for various applications in commercial air-handling systems and also pressurized plenums.
