Chinese Stir Fry Beef Recipe

 By: Jamie S Hanson
Chinese stir fry is an incredible cooking method to cook food at high temperature. Stir frying is a quick paced cooking while not overcooking the dish, which can lead to lost of vitamins and minerals. With high heat over a wok, stir-frying gives the recipe a superb "wok hei" aroma along with retaining the natural taste of the ingredients.

My family loves to eat Chinese cuisine, particularly the stir fried dishes. Beef-broccoli is the most loved, a very popular American Chinese dish. The broccoli袀¢s crispiness paired with tasty sliced beef tenderloins flavored with garlic-ginger sauce has satisfied the palate of many.

Chinese beef-broccoli stir fry can be easily prepared at home. Preparation for the beef-broccoli isn't that complicated. Just don袀¢t forget that stir frying is a fast paced cooking and so requires a high heat stove in order to copy the kind of taste you get in restaurants that you袀¢ve grown to love. It袀¢s economical to fix a homemade beef-broccoli stir fried and you don袀¢t need to bother about preservatives or msg added in like what you would get in Chinese restaurants. You can surely please your family and your guests by serving them this wonderful and healthy dish.

What we will need:

1 pound fine slices of beef sirloin
1 pound broccoli florets,
3 tablespoons of cooking oil for stir frying the beef
3 tbsps cooking oil to stir fry beef as well as broccoli
1 piece onion, diced
One tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of finely chopped ginger

For the Marinade:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 tbs cornstarch
ground white pepper (about a dash of it)
1 tablespoon soy sauce (dark)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powdered

To prepare the Sauce you will need:
Two tablespoon oyster sauce
Two tablespoon dark soy sauce

To make the consistency thicker:
One fourth cup of chicken stock
One tsp cornstarch

Get a mixing bowl and marinade the beef with vegetable oil, white pepper, garlic powder, salt, cornstarch, soy sauce and rice wine. Let marinade for 30 minutes

In a small dish, mix the ingredients for the sauce and put aside. Then mix the cornstarch with chicken stock in a different bowl.

Boil water in a pot. Add one teaspoon of salt and toss in the broccoli florets. Let it to be cooked properly for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and drain to avoid overcooking. Set aside.

Now take a wok, pour 3 tablespoons of cooking oil and heat it. Put in the marinated meat and stir fry for a speedy three minutes until its brownish. Dish out and set aside.

Add in 3 tbsps of oil in hot wok. Put in the chopped onion, garlic and ginger. Stir for a minute and add the beef, broccoli and the sauce mixture. Keep stirring for some more time till you really smell the aroma. Put the corn starch mixture to give the sauce a thick consistency. After the sauce is well-mixed, turn off the heat and serve with warm rice.
