Davis Shapiro, a financial services lawyer of 27 years experience, and a reputable expert in the arena of credit repair, has authored the book The Attorney's Guide to Credit Repair.

Since the federal law, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (F.C.R.A), passed in May 25,1970, was enacted to protect the consumer from being treated unfairly by the credit bureaus, Shapiro uses that law to create his method of credit repair in his book

The law allows for the deletion of any credit report information that is not 100% accurate and verifiable. His strategy also uses the fact that the three major credit bureaus (Trans Union, Equifax and Experian) contain credit files that are 80% inaccurate.

In The Attorney's Guide to Credit Repair Shapiro debunks the myth that is propagated by the credit card companies and the banks that bad credit will be on a consumer's record for up to ten years and that nothing but the passing of time will cure.

It is a sad fact that many consumers suffer with bad credit on their credit reports for longer that they need to because of the misinformation they receive and accept.

Shapiro uses the F.C.R.A law and the inaccurate information dispute process of the credit bureaus to create a step by step strategy for improving consumers' Fico score.

He explains the importance of the Fico score and how it affect the approval for credit. He shows how points are added to the credit report by requesting removal of negative items. He also provides carefully crafted dispute letters for consumers to submit to the credit bureaus.

The Attorney's Guide to Credit Repair uses techniques for credit repair that are not found anywhere else. It is clearly written and provides a clear guide for raising the credit score, and erasing bad credit in the least amount of time. The guide will allow anyone to eventually get the credit card and loans they desire and then move forward with their goals.

If the The Attorney's Guide to Credit Repair is followed closely, results are guaranteed to increase the Fico score. This is possible since the process involves the use of current laws that allow the removal of any entry in the credit report that is not 100% accurate and verifiable.
