Leading a meaningful life can be quite challenging to say the least. It may take a while as you know to find your purpose and true self-confidence and maybe you are still on that journey. It is ongoing, but when you are at this point of self-discovery life definitely does get better; in fact it gets pretty darn good.

However, getting to this point in the road is not easy. All too quickly years pass by and you are still left with that burning and unanswered question namely: "What am I doing with my life?" This question is always accompanied with constant nagging feeling of anxiety.

"What am I doing with my life?" Well, the neat thing about this uncomfortable feeling is that it is a signal for you. This horrible anxious feeling is the body's way of alarming you - telling you that something in your life is amiss and the feeling will continue to pop up in your life until you take notice. You can choose to ignore that alarm bell or if you are willing to look deeper and take control of your happiness, you can ask yourself some powerful questions. The most important thing to remember when asking these questions is to focus on the positive and stay from asking WHY? Why-type questions tend to evoke too much unnecessary analysis, feelings of guilt and self-blame.

If you are ready to move forward start with these:

"What do I want?" Allow yourself to dream of new possibilities and to change your direction if that is what you desire. If you are in a situation that is not good right now ask yourself: "What am I paying attention to that is creating the situation?" Whatever you focus on expands. So if you are centered on things that are taking you off course, change your focus. If you have identified a goal you want to achieve, but do not know how or where to start, you can ask, "What information do I need to move forward?", "What is my first step?" or alternatively "What do I need to let go of to move forward?"

Be gentle with yourself and do not force the process. It is possible that you may be held back by old belief systems and these keep you tangled between what you really want and what others want for you. Sit with these questions, start putting them into action and remind yourself that the sky is the limit - if you want it. The only one that really puts any limits on you is yourself. If some questions bring up feelings of pain or fear, take your time to let the questions reveal what is going on. Identify where these emotions came from. Once you can identify it, you will be able to take steps to move away from it to something better.

Take charge of your life now and ask yourself some powerful questions - my guess is that you will get some top quality answers, which can lead to expert action. The only requirements are willingness and commitment. My guess is that if you are reading this article, you ate more than willing to take charge and move forward to live the kind of life you really want for yourself.
