Incontinence is the name given to the inability to control the elimination of urine, which means people accidentally urinate. as many as 3 million people in england suffer from this embarrassing condition, and it is especially common in women aged over 40.

Incontinence happens when the normal routine of passing urine is disrupted. However, urination can be disrupted in a number of different ways, which is why there are a number of kinds of incontinence.

Some people might suffer from mixed type incontinence, which means that, for example, sufferers of stress incontinence might develop other strains of the condition.

If you know that you may be suffering from incontinence, there are several treatments that are available.

One of the best treatments for incontinence are pelvic floor muscle exercises. These are exercises that can help to reduce mixed or stress incontinence by tightening up the muscles that start and stop urine flow. in order to do these exercises, simply contract these muscles eight times, 3 times a day.

They may also recommend bladder training. this involves you emptying your bladder at set times. this treatment needs to be followed for at least six weeks to see if its going to work.

Alternatively, your dr may prescribe some medicines to treat the problem.

As well as having treatment for this ailment, there are also a wide variety of products available to help control the symptoms of incontinence. These include washable and disposable pads and pants that will help with bulbsincontinence. you'll also find bed protection products on the market, in addition to hygiene products to keep you clean.
