The most conventional way to earn money from investments is to fix up an existing piece of real estate, and then sell it for a profit. Commonly called rehabbing, this is an extremely good method of making a considerable amount of money in a brief span of time. Most rehabbers are seasoned investors who have the available funds, or have colleagues that will loan them an additional source of income. A majority of the investors refuse to even examine a property unless they can return at least $20,000 within a 3 to 4 month time period.

When you are just beginning in real estate, you probably will not have significant quantities of cash for investments. However, there is a way get your foot in the door when it comes to real estate investing. And with this method, called ÒflippingÓ houses, you do not need to invest any money at all. Your job would require you to find houses that needed to be fixed-up, and you would make notations of all the work that needs to be done to the property. You will definitely need to organize an advertising campaign. This can include such things as placing signs around town and putting ads in the local newspaper just to name a few.
