A wedding is a very happy and happening occasion for everyone in the house. While the bride gets finicky about every detail from her dress to the dining table cloth, she mostly gets everyone’s attention. So while the other members are helping out with the wedding, the mother and the father of the bride are mostly given secondary importance only to realise it on the wedding day.

While the father of the bride can don a suit or a sherwani he can plan his attire quite fast. But it is not that simple for the mother, as she has to get her fittings and the finesse. Don’t worry you will not out-do your daughter, so get that fright out of your mind. Flip though some books from your stylist or get them off the shelf. You don’t have to get the exact design. But you should be able to gauge what you want. A dress, skirt and blouse, trousers, suit or a gown.

A-line cut always flatter any figure. If you are on the heavy side then use bias cuts. This will cut your flaws and accentuate your assets. Use thick silk or sheath, or even brocades. Stay away from georgettes or skimpy materials that need lining.

If you are taller then avoid umbrella cuts and use deeper cuts to accentuate your height. Getting the skirt or the neck of the top emblazoned with sequins, studs and embroidery brings in class and beauty. And do all this you need to give the seamstress some time. So plan well in advance so that you get your dress easily and there is no haste about your dress.

Also the choice of colour is very important. That you are the lady of the house and the mother of the bride do not go in for bright dark colours. Like red, yellow, orange and other bright gaudy colours. Choose subtle shades; if you are dark then go for pista green, lemon yellow, gold, reddish pink or any other soft shade. If you are fair then you can try dark shades with shimmer and glitter. If you are in-between then do not go for too soft or too dark shades and mix it well with another colour.

Do not forget your accessories, they are very important. Right from what you put in your hair to the nail paint on your toe. So collect your stuff well in advance to look your best for one of the most important days in your life.

Selection of attire has a huge impact on the overall appearance of a person. Fashion trends are changing. What was fad yesterday is passé now. We wear clothes to draw admiring glances from the world but at the same time sometimes we also dress for our partners. Nights are an erotic time. They develop deeper passions within us. Something within us begins to give away and we are drawn to the pleasant world of love-making.
What came first the chicken or the egg? Fashion is the second creation, style is the first. Fashion is born out of style, as individuals we create our own style each time we go to the wardrobe and put a collection of clothes together. The chosen collection can be in or out of fashion, mixed and matched or clashed, the most important aspect is feeling comfortable and confident.
