The CRB is two types of disclosure about your background including any convictions, details of any cautions, reprimands or warnings held on the Police National Computer and information held by the department of health and department of children.

It is necessary to hold a CRB disclosure as most job positions in this area will involve dealing with adults in vulnerable states, individuals that are hard to deal with and potentially contact with children also.

For those roles that involve a greater deal of contact with these types of individuals there is also an enhanced disclosure containing all the details of the standard CRB but with local information from your police station in addition.
