Isn’t it funny how a lot of men think that flirting with women requires some sort of secret technique or sacred offering to the female species? Contrary to popular belief, it’s not really as difficult as others make it out to be.

While guys have different ways of flirting with women, here are a few basic guidelines that will help you get the ball rolling and maybe even develop your own style.

Flirting Tip # 1 - Maintain eye contact

Don’t stare or worse, glare! You’re not inside a comedy sitcom. You’re in real life trying to get a woman to notice you. A glance or two should be enough to get her to at least pay attention. She’ll be returning those glances soon enough even if only out of curiosity.

That’s when you initiate eye contact for a few seconds. The feeling of meeting eyes with another person is strangely electrifying. Once you have successfully made this move, hurry on to step number two.

Flirting Tip # 2 – Smile

Remember that you’re flirting with women here. They wouldn’t want to look up and see your mouth turned upside down in a frown. Smiling gives them the impression that you’re a pretty friendly fellow who’s fun to be with. It’s something everybody can understand.

Smiles are powerful and can greatly change the mood of another person. You might just have made her day.

Flirting Tip # 3 - Initiate a conversation

You don’t have to try too hard. A simple hello would be appropriate, followed by an introduction. Never mind those cheesy pick-up lines. They’re not even remotely romantic in the first place. These days, it’s the witty banter that gets them.

If you’re one of those guys who have trouble flirting with women and talking to them, base your topic on the place you’re at. If you’re in a bookstore, why not recommend a book you read or ask about what’s currently on her reading list. If you’re in a bar, you can turn the heat on a little bit higher and engage in a more risqué conversation.

These 3 are the basic principles when flirting with women. You can add variety and spice to them in any way you want. Much of the results also rest on your own personality. Start with these simple steps and make your way up. After all, you don’t want to have to keep offering sacrifices forever, do you?
