Who will be seeing the scores of my ASVAB test?

If you are in high school or college, the exam results would be available to you and your educational aide. You will be asked to sign a document giving authority to the Department of Defense to release the exam scores to your college or high school. After your college or high school receives the scores, they will giving your examination scores to the Department of Defense. This is the reason why it is compulsory that you speak with your educational aide about your wishes of joining the military or otherwise. Remember that if you're a junior in high school, by law, a scout can communicate with you whether or not you have taken the test.

What scores should I get to pass?

There is no "failure" or "passing" grades on the ASVAB test. The ASVAB does however let students to compare the results of their test with other students within their grade level. No matter what you score on the ASVAB examination, this wouldn't in any way change your college or high school grade point average.

Is the ASVAB mandatory for military recruits wishing to be part of the reserves?

It does not matter if your pursuit lies in being part of an active duty branch of the military or reserves, the ASVAB has to be taken before an official enlistment will be made. Scoring well on the ASVAB assessment would need dedication and a lot of studying. You don't like to waste your time in taking the assessment only to not score good. Have your studies and learn as much as you can about the ASVAB. Numerous literature and study guides could help you prepare for the exam. In getting ready for the exam, make sure that your study materials are up to date.
