'Change,' the word that everybody must face everyday especially those who are not satisfied with their current situation.

Is 'change' a hard thing to do?

Frankly speaking, I found it hard, extremely hard especially to change bad habits. Have you ever tried to stop smoking but eventually put it back into your mouth? Have you been on dieting but quitted for it doesn't seem to work?

Change happens all the time, it's just that we are not aware about it.

Every moment that we are alive, change constantly happens. For instance, we always breathe in oxygen but we never breathe it out. The chemical process in the body changes the structure of the oxygen to become what we call carbon dioxide. And at the same time, millions of cells are produced to replace the old dying cells. Food is taken and digested for this purpose and nevertheless, the process of changing is involved.

The whole life-maintaining systems of man will not stop unless the body is unable to continue the process of growing and changing.

Besides, the earth that we live in is constantly changing. The weather changes all the times. It is hotter now than before, the sea level has raised too. Living creatures and plant also change, but instead of changing, we call it evolution. Although it took million years to evolve yet, it's still a process of changing.

Since change happens constantly, why do people do not change at the first place?

Most people state that they want to change this and change that but how often they really change?

Changing back to the original state after initiated the change is not a change. Change is a decision that we've made to cut off from whatever that we don't want and stay with what we want. There's no reason could be accepted for failure to change.

'Fail to change' is just simply another term for 'don't want to change.' However, out of peer pressures and for psychology fulfilling needs, the change is initiated. When it fails, there is a reason for it, "At least, I've tried." By doing this, 'at least,' we can show the world that we want to change but we just couldn't and have failed.

Here, I would like to share something with you. It's about smoking. I used to smoke but I was not a very heavy smoker. And in my 'smoking experience,' I found out that smoking is really just a habit. It is not addictive, as most smokers have claimed. I still remember that when I reached for a cigarette, it was my hand that wanted to hold it and occasionally put it in the mouth. I didn't even felt addictive to it.

I guessed I enjoyed smoking just as I enjoy reading books and playing music. I could pick up the cigarette and put it down just as easy as I pick up the book. It's not hard, it's just a matter of want or don't want. It could be cut off as soon as the decision to cut off is made.

Realizing that change is happening all the time, you must be ready to change. Get rid of things that are not to your advantages: procrastinating, smoking, watching TV, indulging in leisure activities and etc.

Once you change the little small thing, more changes will occur. Something must first get started in order to change. And once a change is initiated, you will find that your entire life changes accordingly. It will have more quality and undoubtedly, you will find that you are more energetic and more alive than ever before.

In the beginning of this post, I've stated that change is hard and it was used to be true but not anymore. As I've just mentioned, it just simply meant that I had really not decided to change. Once I've decided, change is merely like snapping the fingers.

So, are you ready to make a change now?

By changing, the level of your health, wealth, emotional, physical and spiritual will get better. You will feel it. But if you don't change, nothing will change. If you want a new result, change the way that you do things. Don't be mundane. It's been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different result.

Make a change now!
