If you create artwork in commonly found sizes, such as four by six inches or eight by ten inches, and if you create a lot of artwork that you wish to display, ready made picture frames can provide a cost-effective solution to your artwork display conundrum. You can find ready made metal picture frames, wood picture frames, and wood photo frames, plus picture framing supplies, that allow you to frame your own artwork in style.

Metal Picture Frames

Metal picture frames make a great addition to artwork that will be on display in a room with modern and contemporary architecture and furnishings. The sleek and slender black metal frames are also used to frame photographs that are put on display in fine art galleries around the world. A plain black frame does not offer a color distraction that might be found to be unappealing with dramatic black and white photographs, which is why it is a frame of choice for galleries. Ready made picture frames are made out of metal and are available online.

Wood Picture Frames

Wood picture frames come in a wide variety of rich and lustrous ready made styles as well. Wooden frames can be used to enhance the look of your canvas art, pastels, or water colors by using stains to color the wood in hues that appropriately match, contrast or complement the colors used in the piece of art. The wood can also be polished but left unstained in order for the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. Wooden frames are also often carved and ornate, which can also enhance the splendor of the artwork held within its boundaries. Ready made picture frames are available in wood selections, offering you a great deal of beauty at a very reasonable price.

Wood Photo Frames

Wood photo frames are the choice of several artists who want a special look for a unique photograph. Not every home or office setting offers the spare and stark backdrop for which metal frames were created. In these instances, when you are looking for a warmer-toned frame for photographs, then photo frames made out of wood can be a wonderful complement to the photographs. Wood frames can come in a variety of finishes as well, such as gold or silver leaf, antique gold, walnut, cherry, spanish gold and antique ivory, to name but a few of the many wood finish choices available in ready made picture frames.

No matter if you want metal or wood, ready made frames offer you the highest quality picture frames at the best prices on the market today.

A number of years ago I was interviewed as an early adopter of Photoshop, as part of a book on Adobe Photoshop. When the new book came out, the writer sent me a copy. The book was very beautiful and I phoned her up to congratulate her. I then asked her what her next project was.
At the recent UGCX conference in New York Jack Hollingsworth commented that when we look back at 2009 we will see that it was the year everything changed. That may well be the case. I am hearing that the relentless growth of earnings for top micro stock shooters is abating.
An estimate offers you a unique opportunity to secure an assignment. Many photographers try to get the job by focusing on saving the client money, and yet that should never be your focus. Look at the estimate as an investment in yourself and your photography business. Prepare your estimate as a thorough plan that gives you the resources to do the best possible work. Your job is not to save the client money; your job is to provide the best possible photography.
From my Sausalito studio I can catch glimpses of the Blue Angels as they make their practice runs for Fleet Week. Whenever they fly overhead I have this vague sense of guilt that I am not out there photographing them. Last year at this time I decided that I would figure out something I could do with them for stock images.
A friend of mine owns a painting company and asked me to create an image to help him promote his business as he enters the slow winter months. In the past I have helped him with images of dogs holding paintbrushes and so forth.
All around we are now talking about Christmas time and what presents to purchase. Your head is engaged with a lot of questions where to find a suitable gift and which will make a nice present for your parents, dear and beloved ones, colleagues and just friends.
Four months ago, after a couple of unexpected and rather invasive abdominal surgeries in the last year-and-a-half, I had a plastic surgeon perform an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) on me, to clean-up the scars and give me a new navel. Fun stuff! Anyway, the surgeon asked me to shoot a picture of one of his new laser tools in action. I did the shoot this afternoon.
