Media in India is going the international way. The newspaper in India is the most coveted item in all homes especially in the mornings. Indians highly rely on the information given by print and visual effects. Many times people also get provoked by certain facts like riots or callousness. Media earlier was set in a conservative style but is now open and truly transparent. Sting operations, recorded versions of messages are thrown out in the open by media and print whereby people are able to know the truth.

The freedom struggle of India was a way to initiate the impact of print media in India. The advent of Radio was also backed with entertainment value and also a medium of communicating the happenings in India. Evolving through various stages Indian newspapers today are incorporated with many news, events, facts and also glamour pages.

Many newspapers are also realizing the importance of adding magazines as a bi-monthly feature. Special editions are scheduled on a yearly basis. People hold value for the information given in the newspapers especially about real estate, home finance and other allied features. There are elaborate write ups on interior designing, tax benefits and also humor to provide entertainment.

Improvement is seen in the media by portraying relevant facts. The live matches in sports are well slotted and backed with advertisements so as to ensure timeliness in the relay. Media is opening up plethora of options for companies to advertise their products. Prime Television series also run with the backing of such ads. The pattern and programming in the newspapers today is innovative. Vernacular mediums are sought as per geography.

There is a lot of emphasis given on the color, texture and quality of newspaper. Compared to other means of information newspapers are still affordable and hence the demand is high. Enhanced by reading abilities, the circulation is also improving to rural and inaccessible areas and the power of information is highly felt in all parts of India.
