I love being a nurse. I also love to travel. When I first heard about travel nursing, I was interested, very intrested. But, I held back and did not research travel nursing much because I have a family and did not want to uproot them just for my career. For some reason I just could not give up the idea of travel nursing so finally, after several months, I began to do a lot of research. What I discovered was that this type of work can be an adventure not only for me, but for my family as well.

Somthing that most people do not know about travel nursing is that companies often offer a very handsome housing allowance. This means that if we decide to look for our own housing, we will receive money for the rent on a monthly basis. This surprised me because I always thought that housing for travel nursing was a "take what you get and be happy for it" sort of thing. The fact that we would have the freedom to choose our own home was a definate benefit for us. In fact, there are so many housing options with travel nursing that you could probably bring your pet with you. The other bonus is that you will also be able to find a place to live that is furnished which will save you alot of hassle by not having to move furniture.

Housing was definately one of the biggest issues for me about travel nursing. I am now satisfied that my family will be able to find a house to call home. With travel nursing I will be able to offer my children a chance to see parts of the country and the world that we would probably never be able to do. I will also be teaching them that helping others is worth some sacrifice on our part. Travel nursing has pays generously and the benefits of will certainly help my family grow as individuals. I am confident that travel nursing is a good choice for me and my family and I look forward to moving on and helping others.

Look around and you will begin to notice those rare individuals who go out of their way for others. These are people who actually "make your day" by doing something for you that you never expect. We have come to be jaded when we engage in our work or in our relationships. Sometimes we do the bare minimum required or we simply ignore an unction to go a little beyond what is required.
Diversity is so much more than race and ethnicity. Take a white person and have him raised by African-American parents, and his culture will be that of African-American. Conversely, a black child raised by Caucasian parents will have a Caucasian culture. And, there is President Obama.
Personality is important but unless we make the most of our first impression with new people we meet, often we won't get a second chance. A tag line in an ad on TV said "inner beauty is nice but outer beauty is what is really important". This being the total opposite of what we have always been told growing up. We still are drawn to attractive people first.
More and more professionals today are tired of the frenzied, highly demanding age we live in – the constant pressures brought about by the wish to succeed, be financially secure, fit and healthy, sociable, a good wife and parent. Career women, in particular, have to cope with the sometimes very emotional challenge of juggling family and work demands trying to maintain a work-life balance, which if not achieved can be extremely detrimental to their physical, mental and emotional health.
Most successful business women are so busy that just walking through the gym door is an accomplishment. If you're going to make the effort count, then it's time to harness 10 strengths that will relieve boredom in your workout routine and recharge your passion for sweat and spandex.
I just got tired of always looking for the next person to give me the information I needed to move ahead. Do you ever feel that way? I wanted to be able to see the whole big picture. I knew I was ready for more detailed, focused information and I bet you are, too.
A whopping number of women are working full time jobs and raising families. We are professionals, employees, entrepreneurs, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and friends. Some of us even do our best to be everything to everyone, but at what cost? We working moms must start to pay attention to the quality of our lives. My question is; are you making anytime for YOU or have you become a martyr? You can spot martyr behavior by asking yourself, if you ever display or exaggerate your discomfort or distress to obtain sympathy or admiration. If you do, chances are you are behaving like a martyr.
