Toys are meant to entertain your small kids though no matter how cuddly and squeezable they seem, they can pose big risk against the kids safety. That is why it is a job of each parent to really buy toys that are suitable to their age. Here are some tips to assist you get along:

• Concentrate on toys that fit their age. If your kid is under the age of 3 then go for those toys that will not pose any choking hazards. The age recommendation written on the package would serve only as instruction.

• If your kid is too young not to know things that should not be put into his mouth, then never try to buy toys with strings as this can lead to another choking hazard. If buying toys with string is unavoidable then go for one with longer than seven inches chords. You could also tell them about the danger of putting those strings around their neck.

• Kids safety is assured by preventing toys with heating elements , specially for children under the age of 8. Teach them to use electricity carefully and tell them that they need your help when operating with the toy.

• The battery of each toy should be enclosed in a place which is not easy to get to for them. Thus buy one that needs a device to remove them.

• Purchase those that are flame retardant doll hair, soft dolls and stuffed animals can catch fire. Also pay attention to check if the filling is firmly sewn as to prevent suffocation.

• The government also helps in ensuring kids safety by registering their own set of recommended toys. You can also read about the recall notices occasionally.

• Do the physical check by yourself by making sure that they are assembled well and that there are no free parts or even sharp edges.

• Follow every toy instruction manual and warning faithfully. If your kid is old enough, you can even read the instruction to them , one by one so they too can follow.

• Get rid of plastic wrapping or sharp points immediately. Plastic makes a big risk on Kids Safety because of the propensity of choking.

• Check if the toy is non toxic specially those that comes in bright colors.

• To ensure kids safety for wooden toys, make sure there is no cracks in the woods.

• Do not get involved with liquid filled toys since there is a big chance that they will leak. Sometimes, most liquid toys contain sparkles that are highly toxic.

• If you are going for projectile toys, check if the projectile contains blunt that are permanently attached to the protective flip , not to cerate a threat for kids safety.

• Get rid of toys that spark if you do not want to see your kid get blind later on.

• For moving toys (like a horse), make sure that the ride is stable and that the kid is all grown enough not to slide on.

• Do not go with toys that produce loud noises as it may damage hearing ability.

• Darts and other toys with sharp edge can create cuts and injuries on the eye .So do not take risk if kids safety is important for you.
