Drug overdose is a serious problem. It should not be taken for granted because it can lead to death. There are a lot of popular people from all over the world who became a victim of drug overdose. Here are some of them:

1. John Belushi - He used to be a comedian actor during his time. He was on his peak way back 1970's because he used to be a star in Saturday Night Live. But unfortunately, on March 5, 1982, Belushi was found dead in a hotel in Beverly Hills and the police said that John Belushi died because of heroine and cocaine overdose.

2. John Bonham - His complete name is John Henry Bonham but he is more famous with Bonzo. He used to be the rock star drummer of an English band named Led Zeppelin. He was very popular because of his skills in drums and speed. But on September 25, 1980, he was found dead while sleeping. He died because of asphyxiation at the age of 32.

3. Elisa Rebecca Bridges - Elisa Rebecca died on February 7, 2002 in the mansion house of a person named Edward Nahem who happens to be a good friend of Hugh Hefner. According to reports, Bridges died because of "acute intoxication by the combined effects of heroin, methamphetamine, meperidine and alprazolam." Elisa Bridges was an actress and a Playboy Magazine model.

4. Marilyn Monroe - Who does not know Marilyn Monroe? She was known as the "Hollywood's most famous blonde sex symbol." She got married thrice. She was married to Jimmy Dougherty, Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller. She was found dead on August 4, 1964 because of drug overdose. And according to report, her death was probably a suicide. The song "Candle in the Wind" of Elton John for Lady Diana was originally written for Marilyn Monroe.

5. Elvis Presley - His real name is Elvis Aron Presley. He is one of the most famous singers of all time. He is known as the "King of Rock 'n' Roll" he used to be a singer, musician and actor. He was also one of the best selling and most influential artists in the history of music. On August 16, 1977, Elvis Presley died of drugs. Later came out that he had some health problems including drug addiction.

6. Anna Nicole Smith - Anna Nicole Smith used to be an actress and a Playboy model. She was found dead in a room of a certain hotel in Florida last February 9, 2007. According to the doctors, Smith's death was accidental and that she had 9 different drugs inside her body that caused her death. She died after a few months of her eldest son's death.

Those are a few of the most popular people who died because of drugs. It just means that drugs do not choose people. You might have a good feeling or heaven feeling when you are high with drugs but once you exceed your limit, you should know when to stop if you're using illegal drugs. You may want to avoid the idea of using it, that's the first action.
