There are many so called fat burners on the market today. Whether or not they are effective is another story. Dieticians believe that if the correct food is eaten, then obesity can be controlled. Contrast to this belief, gym trainers believe that consistent cardiovascular exercise is most important in controlling obesity.

The fact is that no particular medicine or exercise program can help you lose excess fat. You must, therefore, tailor a fitness plan in conjunction with a balanced diet chart that can help you get rid of those extra inches. Let us first understand the causes of obesity. There are five nutrients which are essential for the proper growth of the human body: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

Most of the people nurse the misconception that all types of carbohydrates and fats aggravate the problem of obesity. However, the truth is that not all carbohydrates and fats are responsible for making us overweight. In fact, 'low glycemic index' foods can help you lose fat. It is also important to keep an eye on your calorie-intake if you are serious about losing weight.

Aerobic exercises are one of the most effective ways to lose weight. There are three types of cardiovascular exercises. Grouped by intensity, they are; low intensity, moderate intensity and high intensity. In order to lose weight, it is vital to move from low to medium to high intensity exercises.

Dancing is another way to lose weight. Being able to contain your appetite is also vital to the success of any weight loss program. Refrain from overeating in order to lose weight. Keep to your diet and fitness plan to be successful. You cannot be lazy and expect to attain any real weight loss. You can be a success story if you approach the problem systematically.
