The demand for marine security systems has increased a lot lately so many marine security equipment has been developed to respond to this demand. But most of the marine security equipment is nothing but normal home or car security systems modified a little. The new generation of marine security systems comes with a wide range of products that 'shoot not to kill'. Here is a short description of a few of these devices:

A very innovative marine security system is the RGES, or the running gear entanglement system. This concept is still under development, but when it will be ready it will be able to protect the ships that are docked in a port, and other important things that may be stationed, like museums or valuable shipments. This RGES device can entangle the propeller of other ships that are trying to get inside the port's unauthorized areas. It is a rope-net that can wrap around the vessel's propeller.

Impact projectiles are another type of protective method - they can be rubber balls or projectiles that are launched at very high speed at the 'enemy' and that have the purpose of knocking the opponent.

Anti traction materials are extremely slippery substances that must be sprayed on the floors and they stop both people and vehicles from circulating in that area. Spraying this material on the restricted areas has proven to be a useful marine security method.

Iritant sprays have a great incapacitation effect that can create panic among the attackers but it requires the others to wear special protective masks.

Thermobaric weapons are not lethal marine security equipment weapons that use high temperature to incapacitate the oponent for a certain amount of time.

These temporary stun effects that are generated by the non lethal weapons are designed this way in order to help gain precious time in case of emergency so that the special troops can intervene and control the situation easily and to arrest the people that are trespassing immediately. Remember that these weapons' effect lasts a short amount of time in which you need to act as quick as you can. The non lethal weapons' effect is not lethal but it can produce minor injuries like bruises, some other major injuries and even death in certain situations. But they are designed in such way to avoid death as much as possible so these kind of accidents do not happen often.

The 'shoot not to kill weapons' can also be used to disperse large crowds. The best are the irritants. Many say that instead of shooting a machine gun at an out of control crowd its much better to throw in some non lethal irritant foam. It has been tested that this foam can rapidly drive an angry crowd away without any bloodshed.

Those who think that getting information on a person with a criminal record is as easy as picking up a phone and making a call may find this article an eye opener. "To err is human". What a very easy quotation to say! A person who is continuously committing wrong doings against anybody is just human, so it can be chuckled. In the morals of a civilized world, consequences are bound by codes and decrees. Each individual has an imaginary private bubble that once intruded would mean trespassing. When a person violates a moral law of an individual or group, then he has done a CRIME. If only the offended one can smile and let it pass, but any mark of it always become history in archives of criminal records that are publicly available as reference. It could mean the destruction of lifetime opportunities and worst---future.
"I believe that when man evolves a civilization higher than the mechanized but still primitive one he has now, the eating of human flesh will be sanctioned. For then man will have thrown off all of his superstitions and irrational taboos."
Has the United States lost it's basic principle of morality? Has the United States moved away from the guiding principles that this country was founded on? A single line from the Declaration of Independence describes these basic principles, and it is the meaning of these words which provided the foundation for the formation of the United States...
As yet another New Year dawns, it is time for us to look back on 2005 and view from the outside all that happened. There were joys, triumphs, and tears. That everything that happens is a learning experience is quite true.
Several of the largest natural disasters have occurred recently. These include the earthquake and tsunami in South East Asia and Hurricane Katrina in the Southern United States. Thousands of disasters occur every year. They all don't affect thousands of people, but the impact is as dire for each one that has to experience it. Each time a disaster occurs our hearts go out to those affected. However, what can we do when we are many miles away?
