If you are battling with anxiety or depression, you personally know how difficult these conditions can be. Maybe you have attempted therapy, but have found it too costly and not helpful enough. You may have even been written prescriptions for a number of different brands of antidepressants in an attempt to find the one that would work. Even with all of the different brands, nothing has worked. You may feel like you are stranded in a dark forest with no possible way out. Fortunately, there are ways to find your way out.

Alternative remedies for depression have been the subject of much buzz over the past few decades. While some of them turned out to be nothing more than hype, many of them have proven to be quite effective. For example, omega 3 supplements are one of the more useful supplements you can take for depression and anxiety.

Omega 3, which is a natural bi-product of fish, some nuts, and flaxseed, can be beneficial to your health in numerous ways. The most common form of this supplement are fish oil capsules, but can also be found in a flax based formula.

There are some clinical studies, which pointed free use to taking omega 3 additions, if it comes to depression, fear and to other conditions like dipolar disturbance. The most important thing of these studies was one which was done to 1999 by University of Harvard which suggested that taking the fish oil could help regularly to fight these disturbances. Since that time some smaller studies showed similar use. In addition depression levels are higher in the countries with a low average consumption of that sea fot, including sea animals rich in the favourable fats.

The omega 3 fats consist of two different acids- eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Of these two chemicals, EPA is believed to be the more active in treating depression and anxiety. So when you are looking for supplements, be sure to purchase one that is relatively heavy in EPA.

Depression and anxiety may feel like they will last forever, but they won't. Omega 3 supplements can go a long way toward ending your depression and helping you find your way back into the light. While you may be skeptical about self help for anixety and depression, these supplements are a proven potential solution.

In recent years, a great deal of attention has paid to the alternatives to standard pharmaceutical anti-depressants. While many alternative "cures" are simply placebos, supplements of Omega 3 prove to be very effective. They contain a type of polyunsaturated fatty acid naturally found in fish oil, nuts, and flaxseed.

Omega3 and Omega6 work together in the body, however a balance of 1:1 is required for optimal performance. Our modern diets of processed foods and oils are already so high in Omega6 that some doctors are saying the ratio can be anywhere from 1:20 to 1:60. In order to get the balance into a healthier range you have to increase your intake of Omega3. One of the easiest ways to increase your intake is through Omega3 supplements.
Blue-green algae are a diverse group of microscopic plants that rarely used for human food. The exception is Spirulina, which has become extensively available as a food ingredient within the last twenty years. It is a nutraceutical food with rather unique phytonutrients and also characteristics. Spirulina can also be used in a variety of healthy food applications. Wild Spirulina platensis, (or Arthrospira as it is sometimes called), grows in the sunny warm-water volcanic soda lakes throughout the world.
Old habits die hard. If you’re accustomed to heaping a spoon of sugar into your coffee six times a day, and can’t wait to leave the office at lunch time for a toasted sarmie, then you’re not going to like this home grown advice that you probably heard from your mom a million times over; eating more fruit and vegetables is good for you.
Is natural mineral water healthy? How many of you know the answer for this question? What really surprises me is that a lot of people do not really know the answer for this seemingly easy question. The answer is yes. Natural mineral water is healthy and it is very, very essential for your body. We need water to function as more than 70 per cent of our body is composed of nothing but water...
Natural mineral water benefits your body like no other liquid in this world. As you probably know, naturally occurring water has lots of essential minerals which are very important for your good health. Unfortunately, a lot of water purifiers these days destroy these essential minerals present in water. As a result, the water you get is just too pure to drink. It is de-mineralized and as clean as the distilled water they use in labs.
Nutrition is important to every aspect of out lives and it is important to know what some of the available nutrients beyond vitamins and minerals are and how they impact our health. One of those critical nutrients is the class of omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty acids are part of the building blocks for our nerve cells and brain tissues.
You are not what you eat. You are what you can digest and absorb. The fundamental design of the human body is a tube – a doughnut with a hole in the middle. And we, like other animals, spend our physical lives processing organic matter through this tube for waste. How good you are at this determines your energy level, longevity and state of body and mind, as well as your digestion.
