Just like water is treated before consumption, your thoughts should be treated... before they are provided with permanent lodging inside your mind. You would not drink sewage water; for its contaminants will sicken you...nor should you soak your mind in the sewers of negative thoughts. Submit your mind through a treatment process...a process to force out everything but that of the highest and purest frequency. To do this, you must turn negative thoughts into misfits by befriending so many positive feelings...that negative ones, if they ever visit, will feel like oddballs.
Every time you express views about yourself, those views become impressed, imprinted, inscribed... tattooed onto your self-image and onto others' minds. Never voice an opinion of yourself that is less than spectacular. Any sentiment less than extraordinary or amazing about yourself, you must refrain from verbalizing it. This is part 4 of the series "Self Esteem - A Call To Confidence..." If you haven't read the preceeding articles, now is your que. We've spoken of self-image, visualizations, and created the base of a new set of habits. By now you are aware of the three factors in the formula: beliefs, habits, and environment. If you have not "Self Esteem - A Call To Confidence (Part 1)..." and part 2, it'd be a great idea to check that out. In the preceeding articles we covered self image and visualizations. In this article we'll put it into a system. We mentioned how our habits, beliefs, and immediate environment work together, and how if you change any one of the three factors, the formula still stays the same, meaning the other two factors will adjust accordingly. Because we're working to change the self-image, the beliefs we hold of ourselves, we can't depend on the "beliefs" factor. So we work with the habits and environment.
If you haven't read "Self Esteem - A Call To Confidence (Part 1)..." this is your signal. You have your description on paper now. Creating it into a mental image is done by reflecting on the description and visualizing yourself doing all of that. Visualizing is watching a movie play through your head, where you are doing everything that you described. However, visualizing is only effective if you mix emotion in it. The visualization takes place in your conscious mind, precisely the faculty of the imagination. The emotions are part of your subconscious mind, and this is where we are trying to transfer the image to.
You got it. Let me tell you how. And you're hearing it right from the horse's mouth. I was at the bottom of this can. Now I'm close to what I determine the top to be. In my eyes, that would be absolute confidence, success, and humility. We all know what "lack of confidence" is, so I'm not going to give you my story. I'll just give you the key and show you where to use it.
