Daughters are always precious especially because they are sensitive. The biggest quality of being a girl is versatility. Ladies easily multitask from being a career person, doing household chores and also being a home maker. The important aspect is to nourish the well being of a daughter and helping her in becoming a well honed personality. Today’s times are about gender equality and proving a persons capacity. Aspirations need motivation which has to come from home and family.

Daughters often want to be like their fathers and a mother usually wants her child to imbibe bold qualities to face the challenges of life. Play school is the start point which opens opportunity for a child to participate. These springboard into many opportunities available at school level and inter state level for sports. Though participation is important, the parent plays an important role in motivating the girl child.

Sports do not demarcate as per gender and hence it is important to build a rapport with the coach. Communicate certain lifestyle habits and also accept their suggestions. Stamina has to be cultivated and generally children are gifted to multi task. Perseverance is also important for a parent as many times children may behave as if they are not interested. Kids under five are generally unaware of their interest levels and may also appear to lose interest in a certain activity.

Motivation and positive approach is very important. Diet plays an important role in the psychological make up of a child. Include fresh items and the right mix of nutrition in order to help the child cope with academics as well as sports. Sports are not about physical activity but also improving mental focus and concentration. Preparing your daughter for an upcoming competition means a lot of effort as practice sessions needs us to adapt to a time table suggested by the coach and at the same time scheduling academics is important.

Encourage your daughter to give her best shot and also let her not lose her confidence if she does not win. Losing a game is like an emotional achievement, by which you have already faced a challenge. Dedication has to be inculcated in the child along with lot of respect towards the coach. The winning streak is inborn in a sportsperson and just needs to be stimulated.
