RSVP North is the North's only event dedicated to the corporate party and special event sector. This year's event takes place from 23 - 24 April 2008 at Manchester Central (formally the G-Mex) and promises to be one of the best yet. It's open to the public from 10am to 5.30pm on the Wednesday and 10am to 4pm on the Thursday.

Whether you're an organiser of major events or you're simply looking for ideas to help you arrange a small dinner party or special occasion, you'll find plenty of inspiration and ideas at RSVP North.

You'll be able to browse the stands of over 250 exhibitioners at the show, including stalls from entertainment companies, venues, events decorators, lighting companies, catering companies, event managers, production, sound, and florists. Because of this, you'll be able to collect contacts for your own event, or even make bookings there and then.

In addition a wide range of stalls, there will also be a wide range of master classes for your entertainment. You can take the Fluid Bars Cocktail Challenge, which has expert mixologists on hand to help you to create the perfect cocktail. The winner of the cocktail challenge bags a fantastic mobile cocktail bar and drinks for their office, a prize that's guaranteed to make you popular with your colleagues! Alternatively, you could try RSVP North's Sisushi Masterclass. During this workshop, the expert chefs from Sisushi will be offering advice on how to make your own Japanese fish dishes, as well as giving you the opportunity to make your own lunch. The best sushi makers of each day will be rewarded with a sushi making kit and a meal for two at the Sisushi restaurant in Leeds.

You'll also find a potters wheel workshop courtesy of Teamday.co.uk at the event, which gives you an opportunity to find out what a pottery teambuilding day would be like. For the brave, there's the Daytona Karting F1 Challenge too. In this unique activity, you'll be able to race a mini formula one car and check how quickly you can change a wheel in the pits! It goes without saying that the winner of this challenge will receive some great prizes.

RSVP North will have a comprehensive programme of talks for visitors to enjoy too, offering advice on everything from planning your menu, to making the most of your venue. These talks are free and you don't need to reserve a place, you can just turn up.

If you get hungry at RSVP North, you'll be pleased to know that there's a range of hot and cold food available. There will be a restaurant providing sandwiches, soups and cakes, and a number of the catering companies who are exhibiting at the event will also be able to offer you refreshment too.
Although you can pay on the door, it's best to pre-order your tickets. Doing this means you'll receive your badge before the day and beat the queues with fast-track entrance. Purchase your tickets now by calling 0870 428 7655.
