Where the symptom of pregnancy heartburn is so intense, many women would often think that they are having a heart attack.

Another reason why pregnant women often times suffer from the symptom of pregnancy heartburn is that the weight of the growing baby on their stomach may cause a lot of pressure in the stomach. Pregnant women who eat large portions of food may experience a reflux of the food into the esophagus and throat coupled with that tight feeling in the chest area. The tightening of the chest will cause a lot much pain to pregnant women especially during the later part of their pregnancy.
