The installation of pond equipment and the building of backyard ponds, streams and waterfalls are booming in America. Homeowners love the fact that they can find peace, tranquility and relaxation and create a real piece of nature in their own backyards, with a natural looking, easy to maintain water feature. And the new technology ponds, using equipment such as that made by Aquascape Designs in Chicago, are ecologically balanced, easy to maintain, chemical free and safe for fish and other wildlife.

Landscaping with water is the fastest growing segment of the landscape and horticulture industry today. And this is an extremely profitable business to be in, if you know how to do it properly. The point of our "Build a Pond Days" is to give landscape contractors the opportunity to learn this fun, creative and profitable aspect of the landscape business.

Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division and Landscape Warehouse are holding a "Build a Pond Day" on Saturday, November 17, 8am-4pm, at the Landscape Warehouse Nursery at 2800 Royal Oaks Ave., Duarte, CA. The one day class is specifically geared to landscape contractors, teaching them all the basics of how to install pond equipment and build backyard water features, such as backyard waterfalls, ponds and streams.

Two of the complaints I hear from contractors regarding building ponds are 1) building ponds takes too long, and 2) they get too many call-backs, meaning they have to go back to the job site later. Both these things cut into profitability. I understand that completely and those are problems we have found effectively ways to solve. That's why we are holding this class, to help other contractors learn to build water features that are beautiful, that are thrilling to the customer, and with maximum profit.

Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division holds these "Build a Pond Days" several times a year. Some of these events are geared to homeowners who want to learn how to build a pond, stream or waterfall and install it in their own backyards. But the upcoming event on November 17 is for landscape contractors who want to break into the profitable business of building water features for their clients. The instructor and participants in the class will build an entire, complete water feature in one day.

Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division is the largest distributor in the U.S. of Aquascape Designs Inc. pond products. Its parent company, Pacific Outdoor Living, has twice been featured on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing, privately held companies in America. Landscape Warehouse has three store locations in the San Gabriel Valley, in addition to its nursery location in Duarte. To attend the "Build a Pond Day" on Saturday, November 17, call the Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division at 818-252-0040. Or interested persons can visit www.propondswest.com/build-a-pond.html.
