These days, prices of goods are skyrocketing like there's no tomorrow. And with oil prices leading the pack, you find yourself stuck between your car and a hard place. Luckily, I have some helpful tips to save gas that will spare you from having to give up breakfast cereals for a whole month.

These proven tips to save gas have been accumulated from different places and people. Hopefully, they will be able to help you cut back on your gas use and make the most of the situation.

1. Carpool

Okay, I know what you're thinking here. Out of all the tips to save gas, this would probably be your last resort. In your mind, you don't want to carpool because it leads to all sorts of annoying circumstances. Your neighbor or your officemate will probably use this opportunity to pry at your personal life.

Well, don't knock it until you've tried it. Honestly, carpooling is not that bad. After all, you have the option of choosing the people you want to ride with. And people are not that bad once you get to ride with them.

Think of it as a learning experience. Besides, you don't have to carpool everyday. You can do this every other day or only during Wednesdays and Thursdays.

2. Make sure your gas cap is closed tight.

This is one of those overlooked tips to save gas that could save you a lot of money. Apparently, gas can still evaporate if you leave your gas cap a little loose. You might think that what evaporates isn't really a lot, but everything adds up.

It's possible that in two weeks, you would have lost a good amount of gas that could perhaps have driven you from the office to your home. Add that up to a whole year of meaningless gas evaporation and you’ll see that it’s indeed a big deal.

3. Learn how to step on the brake properly.

Every driver knows how to brake, but not everyone knows how to do it properly. You've seen the movies where cars screech to a halt. You've probably experienced riding in a car which gives you a headache every time it stops.

Aside from being signs of poor braking, such practices also lead to an unnecessary use of gas. How so? Well, every time you brake, you also have to accelerate again afterwards. I'm not telling you to stop braking. That would be a dangerous tip to save gas.

What I'm saying is that if you're an observant driver, you don't need to brake all the time. If the cars ahead of you are moving at a steady pace, you can just release your foot from the gas pedal, slow down and anticipate the traffic flow.

Hope these useful tips to save gas help you achieve better gas mileage and allow you to have more money left in your pocket.

It is not right to assume a luxurious product need not be stylish. It is true some style may be reflected in the luxury but style is also reflected in those aspects of a car which are not directly related to its luxuriousness. A luxurious style has to be achieved independently of adding luxury features.
It may be a debatable point that whether a car which has an appeal for the younger generation, will also appeal to the elders. However, the issue is irrelevant so far as Toyota Corolla is concerned.
It is a great design achievement when a family sedan can have a sporty feel in its performance and looks. Such a car makes it possible to realize ones dreams of driving a sporty car without forsaking the down to earth reality of driving a car that can seat a family comfortably.
There are big luxury cars and there are small compact cars. However, some people will like to have something in between. To meet such a demand mid-sized Dodge Avenger was released in the market. It is mid-sized as well as mid-priced. For a mid-sized car it is quite spacious. It looks good. Its handling is easy. A ride in it is smooth and comfortable.
It is easy to forget in all the razzle-dazzle of today's glitzy cars that a car is a very personal possession and it says as much about you as do your clothes and hair style. And for the style statement to be a great one your car need not be the most attractive car in the world. It should simply look comfortable, perform efficiently and have some of your attitude and character instilled in it. Just as it is with clothes. One doesn't wear very expensive clothes most of the while but if the clothes look comfortable and fit you well, people will think you have a good taste in clothes.
It is not only the stars and sport persons that stage a comeback. Cars do it as well. Dodge station wagon came on the scene about four decades back. After some time station wagons no longer remained a favorite. Their market was overtaken by minivans and SUVs. In the second half of the present decade station wagon staged a comeback in the shape of Dodge Magnum.
Let us face it, when we see an extremely attractive car full of features that deliver style, performance and luxury a small desire to own one briefly passes through our mind. And if we are a car enthusiast the desire will not really be quite so small. And when we realize we cannot own one, at least for now, we may think of the owner of the car that lies before us. And we may for an instant wish we had the good fortune or had put in the effort ourselves so that we could own the car now. We may deny it but though we may not be out right jealous we will for a moment covet the car.
