Who says you cannot travel with your Boxer dogs? Apart from being desirable family dogs, Boxer dogs are also cheerful travel companions. Yes! You can take them to one of your out-of-town or even international trips. Raise the fun and excitement to maximum level by taking your Boxer dogs with you. But before the excitement occupies your mind, remember that planning and preparation are part of the travel.

Assess your pet.

Don't think that all pets are fit to travel. Consider your pet's age or health condition. Traveling with a sick dog or a dog recovering from surgery may not be a good idea.

Visit your veterinarian.

Inform the veterinarian about your travel, as to where you will be traveling to, the duration of the travel and the mode of transportation. Have your vet examine your dog's condition. Make sure that your pet is protected with vaccines against diseases such as kennel cough, parvovirus, rabies and others. These vaccinations should be up-to-date and remember to ask your vet for current health and rabies certificates not more than ten years before the date of the departure. These certificates are needed before you are permitted to travel by air.

Look for pet-friendly accommodation.

Not all hotels or motels accommodate pets. So before you finally head, make sure that the hotel or the place you will be staying to accommodate pets.

Identification.

Remember to use collar that can't get caught in carrier doors. The collar should have your permanent ID with your name, home address and telephone number, and a temporary travel ID with the destination contact information.

Before leaving.

Arrive at the airport early and exercise your pet. Then personally place the animal in its crate. Transport crate must be large enough to let your dog stand, turn around and lie down and must be purchased in advance to get the dog used to it. The label must include your name, home address, home phone number and destination contact information.

Things to bring.

Travelers should have first aid kit that contains bandages, antiseptic cream, antidiarrheal medication for pets, gauze squares, scissors, cotton swabs and others. It is also a good idea to take items such as his favorite toys and blankets to remind him of home.

While you are traveling.

Fresh water should be available for your pet at all times and feed him with his usual foods. Avoid the sudden changes of diet as this may cause stomach upset. If you are not sure that his normal food is available in your place of destination, better take enough of it with you.

Dogs are regarded the best friend of man. Do you really want your dear pet to sleep on the hard floor or even at a place that is not suitable for him? You may not like him to stretch out on the furniture of your home. But isn’t there a feasible solution for this. Well, yes there are a large number of stores that offer designer dog beds. It includes various online and offline ways to find one.
It has always amazed me how dogs are so closely related to their ancestors, the wolf, and still, to this day, display a natural instinct to live and participate within a family "pack". Teamwork and partnerships are the natural order in which canines think. A good analogy to explain this better is to observe the way a sports team all works together to accomplish the same goal of winning.
If you own a dog that loves nothing more than to bark incessantly while riding with you in the car, then you probably understand just how frustrating and annoying this habit can be. Dogs become very territorial when they are inside of a moving vehicle and all of the thousands of moving objects outside of the window can pose a threat to your dog's mind. As soon as he spots somebody walking on the street, he barks!
Grooming is essential to a healthy cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In addition to looking good, regular grooming keeps your Cavalier clean, healthy at the same time prevents problems caused by fleas, ticks, matted hair, uncleaned teeth, excessive buildup of earwax, dirt and bacteria. Grooming a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel may not be very difficult given the fact that these little creatures are extremely social and enjoy constant companionship from humans and other dogs alike.
Otitis externa is predominantly a microbial infection, occurs rather suddenly, rapidly worsens. Ear disease is one of the most common conditions we see in pets. It is estimated that up to 20 per cent of the dog population is affected by this disease...
There are many other low-shedding dog breeds for you to consider as home-flipping companions, but some of the rarer and unusual breeds can also provide you with hours of shed less entertainment. Unfortunately, other methods of preventing dog-related disasters such as craters in the garden and "accidents" on the new carpet are solely your lookout.
In the pleasure of bringing a pet dog to your home, never ignore his needs. It is definitely fun trailing and training him with new tricks, but it brings some responsibilities for you as a dog owner. You have to take care of the fact that your dog needs proper rest and sleep. This necessitates a separate bed for your dear pet.
