Everything is perfect making you come back again every year.

The Island of Hvar has its name from the Greeks, but it is not all their doing. The name suffered different variations imposed by the Romans and Croatian pronunciation. However sometime around the 11th century the Island of Hvar was called Lesina by the Italians and this was a word derived from the word "forest", in Croatian. Throughout its history, the Island of Hvar had different names almost all derived from the woody aspect of it, as it is proven by different places along the island which have been named in the same manner.

If you wish to get on the Island on Hvar and spend your holidays there, you have to keep in mind that there are no direct connections from the United States to Island of Hvar and the only way to reach it from there is by booking from New York to Dubrovnik.
