Sound or Voice Recording is the reproduction of sound through electric or mechanical systems which create sound waves. Technology divides sound recording into two distinct classifications – analog and digital. While digital recording uses technologies similar to analog recording; the only difference is in the former, the data can be stored and later transmitted using various forms of media.

Micro-cassette tape recorders were largely popular with the masses due to their music playing and voice recording features. The popularity of digital sound recording (DVR) and compact discs (CD) which grew in the 1980’s brought significant improvements to the consumer music industry. A digital voice recorder performs the same functions as a cassette player minus the cassette. While most technological advancements are made in the field of digital voice recording, formats which came to be created were MIDI, WAV, MP3 and others.

Voice recording systems have been added onto desktop computers and portable laptops as well. Voice recordings can be sorted into different folders in the DVR itself and with the help of a USB cable it can be plugged into a computer and be transferred. While tape recorders have their uses, a digital voice recorder comes in handy for students who want to listen to a lecture and make notes, or a doctor or a writer who does a lot of interviews, even a secretary who has to transcribe minutes of a meeting. The digital recorder allows you to record far more than the 60-minute time stipulated by a tape recorder.

Companies like Sony, Olympus and Panasonic provide the installing software CD in the package, which needs to be installed into the computer to view and hear the audio format which is uploaded through the USB chord. Software’s like Audacity" allow you to edit, transform, add effects and convert audio into MP3’s. Purchasing a digital voice recorder depends on what you plan to use the recorder for and how comfortable you are with new technology. Various factors to consider when purchasing a digital recorder include –

• Purchase a digital record player with sufficient memory to record many hours of recording time. A good battery performance and adequate storage space will make it an ideal recorder.
• A recorder which supports the mp3 format is an ideal recorder as it is flexible with most editing software.
• The recorder should also be compatible with a USB cable without having to purchase and install any specific drivers.
• Purchase a recorder which doesn’t involve installing specific software. This will limit the use of the voice recording system to just one computer.

With features like forward, rewind, playback in slow or fast mode and even archiving each voice recording into different folders on the recorder, these gadgets are serving their purpose to doctors, reporters, lawyers and even people on the go. A good example of this would be the Olympus DS-4000. So get your hands on a good Voice Recording System and benefit from it.

I recently decided to purchase and MP3 player and went with the Transcend T.Sonic 820. This little MP3 player had all the features I need and was fairly inexpensive. My MP3 player review may be a bit biased as this is the only MP3 player I have ever owned. A friend of mine recommended I look at a Samsung MP3 player review, but after reading it I still wanted to go with the T.Sonic.
I recently purchased an RCA Pearl and I like it so much I decided to do an RCA MP3 player review on it. This is not a CD MP3 player review as the Pearl is built to only play MP3s, and not CDs. This is not to say that this is going to be an all positive RCA MP3 player review, as there are some parts of this RCA MP3 player review that are definitely negative. If you are looking for some kind of fan boy RCA MP3 player review, then try somewhere else.
It wasn't too long ago that if individuals wanted to listen to their music they were limited to where that music could be played. For example if a surfer wanted to listen to music it proved very difficult to utilize a cassette tape or cd while trying to catch a wave. Additionally, if an athlete or recreational swimmer wanted to use the pool they would have to rely on music being played from a device nearby the pool.
Have you ever tried to remember something only to forget it a few minutes later? Maybe you parked in a parking garage and you forgot what section you parked in, or maybe you went to the grocery store and forgot what you were supposed to buy, or maybe you even forgot your spouse's birthday or your anniversary! If you had a portable MP3 player recorder, you could have simply recorded these things and then you could have played it back for instant memory retrieval.
So you finally bought that MP3 or MP4 player that you have been keeping an eye on for months. You carefully saved your money so that you could make the wonderful device yours. Hours of music to keep you entertained without the hassle of toting around piles of CDs with you. But now that you have it you find yourself constantly concerned about the type of conditions it is exposed to as you do not want to subject it to any potential harm.
The Apple Ipod Nano 8Gb (5th Generation) newest model is the latest in the market ready to offer loads of entertainment as Apple has always been doing. It is small, light and packed with new features.
When it comes time to finally shop for a new mp3 player, whether it is for you or for a gift for someone you care about, you want to make sure that you are getting exactly what you need. You certainly do not want to waste your money and then later find out that you were ripped off and you are stuck with a product that either does not work all that well or does not do what you thought it would.
