One might think that most jobs on a cruise ship require an entertaining, charismatic and charming character to qualify. But that's not always the case. There are oodles of jobs that you quiet types might want to look into. After all, it doesn't matter what kind of job you have working on a cruise ship, the underlying perks and benefits of cruise ship jobs still applies. Here are some cruise ship jobs you may consider

Chief Engineer - The Chief Engineer is broadly responsible for maintaining many of the technical operations on board, such as the engines, generators, electrical systems, air conditioning, air circulation and refrigeration.

Assistant Chief Engineer - The Assistant Chief Engineer is the go-to guy for the Chief Engineer, responsible for assisting to carry out most of the Chief Engineer's tasks. Additionally, the Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the productivity of the engine room.

First Assistant Engineer - The First Engineer of course is subordinate to the Chief Engineer, and is responsible for most of the engine room duties. This person supervises the engine room.

Chief Radio Officer - This position is responsible for the ship's radio, weather and traffic communications. This requires maintenance of all the equipment on board that facilitates these tasks.

Chief Electrician - Responsible for all electrical systems on the ship.

Motorman - In charge of cleaning and upkeep of all engines on board.

Oiler and Plumber - The ship plumber of course is responsible for all plumbing systems on board, and makaing sure they are kept up and maintained. Likewise, the Oiler supervises and keeps an eye on temperature. The Oiler is also responsible for other miscellaneous repairs.

These just scratch the surface of the various "non-entertainer" or passenger facing positions available on cruise ships. There are many many more where this came from.
