Expert Author: Prof. Gabriel Sawma As the United States and its allies struggle to get to grips with its new challenges in the Middle East and North Africa, pundits, scholars and journalists have combed every inch of the Muslim Brotherhood's history for clues to what might happen in the event the movement takes control over the region. Expert Author: Lee Eldridge I've long made a joke that credit cards are evil. But that's not true. When a person who is responsible with their money uses them responsibly, they are not evil at all. Try renting a car or making a hotel reservation without one. Credit cards also offer a level of protection when you make purchases. For instance, if you buy something online, and you're unhappy with it, or it's never delivered to you, you have the option of disputing the charges. It can protect you from many of the possible dangers of purchasing something from an unknown company. Expert Author: Lee Eldridge A showdown is looming in Washington. And it's all about debt. Just to put this into perspective, our national debt stands at about $14 trillion. According to the national debt clock on brilling.com, the debt is $14,107,455,627,940.78, and the estimated population of the United States is 309,976,811. So each citizen's share of this debt is $45,511.33. The national debt is increasing by approximately $4.16 billion per day. Expert Author: Dezan Shira After weeks of fierce political debate, India's cabinet has officially approved the first caste-based census since 1931 which will likely lead to better implementation of affirmative action policies and will almost certainly define how politicians campaign for votes in the future. Expert Author: Brock Hileman It would be a difficult task today to find an American who is proud of our Federal Government. Rampant corruption permeates the Democratic and Republican parties and it seems the judicial branch is motivated more by politics and ideology than constitution. It is a terrifying time in America; our federal leaders have decided they know what's best for us and have turned a deaf ear. It's not an Obama failure or a Bush failure. Expert Author: Adrian Fisher With ongoing formal accession negotiations that would see Turkey become a permanent, fully-fledged member of the European Union and European Economic Council, political and economic communications between EU members and the Southeast European Republic will reach a fever-pitch over the next decade. Expert Author: Paul Svejda As many Americans continue to go about their busy lives, those who are living near the Gulf Coast are continuing to experience the harm that the BP oil spill has caused to their livelihood. Although it has been three months since the oil rig explosion and massive leak in the the ocean waters of the Gulf, BP politics have not changed very much in the effort to get things cleaned up. While the world watches the trouble being caused by the largest environmental disaster ever faced, it seems as though the political aspect in Washington is at a stand still as neither side can agree on the best course of action. Expert Author: Dezan Shira A proposed plan for China to provide Pakistan with two civilian nuclear plants has prompted intense scrutiny from officials in Washington and Delhi. The deal, to construct two 650-megawatt reactors at Chashma in Punjab, would increase the number of civilian reactors in Pakistan to four, with one previously built reactor already dedicated to military use. Although India and the United States have stopped short of publicly condemning the nuclear trade, both countries made it clear that the transfer must fall under the guidelines of international law. Expert Author: Tr Cojoc The Internet is under attack by the Obama Administration through executive powers. This does not bode well for the Internet entrepreneurs or for political speech. The following is an analysis of how the Internet and specifically Google has created a free world-wide social environment. The governments of the world should study the Internet Society. They might learn something. Expert Author: Tr Cojoc President Obama signed legislation to expand college access for millions of young Americans by revamping the federal student loan program in what he called "one of the most significant investments in higher education since the G.I. Bill." A word of caution is warranted here. The student loan program could easily become a vehicle for youth enslavement by the US Government. Expert Author: Christian Fleming While still a long way off from challenging the United States as the predominant world naval power, China's modernized People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) is beginning to take a more assertive role in an expanding theater of operations. Previously content on patrolling coastal waters and preparing for an armed conflict with Taiwan, China now has a naval presence all along commercial sea routes to the Middle East and has stepped up military operations in the contested waters of the East and South China Seas. Expert Author: Zack Luo Alperon, 53, a suspected murderer whose family name is synonymous in this country with extortion, loan sharking, and violent retribution, was driving on a busy, upscale Tel Aviv street Monday afternoon when the remote-control bomb went off. He had just come from court for the bail hearing of two of his sons, ages 21 and 16, accused of extorting money from a nightclub operator.
Newspaper photos the day after the murder showed Alperon at the hearing, looking like an old-time hood in black fedora and dark sunglasses. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani Not satisfied to just goad his critics and take on the GOP Obama has decided to bring scripture references into the controversy. We know what Pastor Wright said about damning America but now we can see further into the Wright theology or the lack of it with Obama's inference to last day's theology more commonly referred to as eschatological doctrine. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani Infantophobia is a neologistic word whose life expectancy may be no more predictable than the unborn-children it makes reference to but, the word homophobia has a life all of its own, even if in reality it does not deserve one. Expert Author: Tr Cojoc Recently passed health care reform (HC bill) raises a multitude of issues regarding personal privacy and government intrusion into peoples' lives. For instance: Page 58 contains the following statement: Government will have real-time access to individuals' finance and a National ID Health card will be issued. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani Barack Obama asked the Dem's to help him save his Presidency by voting for his healthcare bill. Really! Is there an impeachment underway? America will be far too busy trying to save the country from bankruptcy to worry about Obama's next two years in office. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani Following the battle over Obamcare has been daunting and has left millions of Americans exasperated if not in shock. On the surface it looks like a victory for the Dem's but, just under the surface is a festering if not slithering heap of lousy politics and dishonesty at the highest levels. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani The idioms of the PC bent are more prevalent in politics than in any other sphere of American life. The general use of PC terms seems to have gravitated largely to the liberal side of the block. Expert Author: Rev Michael Bresciani Glenn Beck recently said that giving 'Birthers' air time would benefit the Obama administration. Beck said both the idea of radio air time and the birthers arguments were the "dumbest thing I ever heard." Expert Author: James Smi Much ado is being made over Governor Romney's recent address about his Mormon faith. And, much more ado should be made. The American people are perceived as being so politically saavy that the faith of a candidate for President, or a candidate for any other public office, has little or no bearing on their electability.
