How do I transfer service of Direct TV for rv in motion satellite without setting up a home account.?

Posted by Answers Community

The receiver is already in the rv, so I called direct tv to activate it but they said I could ony set up an account for my house. We use cable at the house and I only want direct tv for the rv. Can't be that unusual is it?

Just give them your home address and let them know it's all ready installed. I know of several people who have one account and two homes. They just set up the equipment and take the card with them when they visit ther vacation home. This isn't stealing, they only use the one card at one location at a time. As long as you pay for your service, they shouldn't really care where it is. You will need to have dish aiming directions with you when you set up the dish but you should be able to find this on the web.

Hey I read your article about the dish tv and it was good to read it. Do you know that satellite TV has become one of the greatest technological inventions of today. Only few years back cable tv operators had a monopoly in the pay television industry, and within that time frame there are 30 million satellite TV subscribers.
