Is there any travellers out there that took the Suez Canal Cruise with Costa Cruise line?

I’m interested in finding out about getting Visas in middle East ports.
Costa Cruise line has a blanket visa policy for the passengers who sign up for Shore Excursions offered by the cruise line.
How can independent traveller obtain visa right @ the port?
Also curious if independent shore excursions offered right @ the pier? Many thanks.
