Hard Candy?

Posted by Answers Community

Is there a kind of hard candy that's very hard and strong. I have a project coming up, and I'm thinking that hardened sugar (like they do in vegas) will be crushed under it's own weight. Is peanut brittle any stronger? Is there any other food that is very strong in thin sheets (about 1cm)?

peanut brittle is "brittle". it breaks apart. I dont know what Vegas does with candy that's any different than any other candy makers, but any cooked sugar candy (hard candy) would be strong. Unless you mean sugar, candy sculptures? If you built one high or tall enough, it may break under its own weight, espically if you built it tall and top heavy.
