eBay auctions?

Posted by Answers Community

Does anybody here know any tips to get your ebay listings noticed more?

Some of my auctions do not show high in the ranks until the last hour.

I try and get the best keywords on my titles etc but it doesnt seem to help.

Any ideas?

Hello.

Keywords are important. Try to think like a buyer. What words would they search for? Not just what you think the right keywords might be. Do some completed auction searches for the same types of items and see what titles have been used for items that have sold the highest.

Do you use gallery? Many people will just pass by the auction if there isn’t a picture there. And do the best you can with your pictures. If they are out of focus a little, people tend to pass things by.

Another trick is to create an eyecatcher to post for your gallery picture. You can do it in Paint. Start with a square, and paint it all bright yellow. Then in red text, put something like "STOP!" or "MUST SEE" in the middle. Big enough to be seen well.

If works if there are a lot of the same things selling. People see the same pictures on a page, then all of a sudden they see something different. It draws their eye to it and a lot of time they will click on the ad just to check it out. Worth a try. I know of one major ebook seller who does this will all his ads and he does well.

Those are a couple of things to try. Hope it works out well for you. Best wishes,
Robbie
