  • Improve Your Tennis with 2 Subconscious Questions - What I am about to share with you is the most common and potentially disastrous question any tennis player, coach or parent can ask - and the two questions you should ask instead. First, here's a basic understanding of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind accepts whatever is delivered to it. It has no ability to reject ideas or information. What you think and say becomes the programming from which your subconscious operates from. It runs on the fuel YOU give it. One challenge though... Too often the subconscious receives awful instructions. As a result, the tennis you are currently playing is based on the programming contained within your subconscious mind. Any person knows that you cannot play great tennis with poor instruction from a coach. What happens when the poor instruction comes from your own mind?
  • Choose How to Play Great Tennis - From birth to the age of eight to ten, children live in a state of deductive awareness. They lack the ability to respond to circumstances like we as adults do. Their responses will be based on what they have learned from the environment they are surrounded by.
  • Using The - One of my favorite copywriting models is the "problem, agitate, solution" model. This is where you show your prospects that they have a nagging, painful, problem. Then you describe in excruciating detail why it really IS a problem that they desperately want to solve. Finally, you point out to them why your product is the perfect solution. My friend Stephen Pierce, and several mentors, showed me that nothing is more powerful in marketing than PROOF. This lead me to observe how effective it is to use the next logical step, which is... Prove to them that they really do have a problem by actually stepping them through experiencing the pain. Let me give you a few quick example so that you can see how this is used very effectively.
  • The Meaning of Hunger - In the weight loss industry, hunger is a dirty word, the villain that must be stopped in its tracks; however, it is this determination to eradicate hunger that has created the worst propaganda for diets. DIET has become a dirty word, associated with pain, starvation and all things "undo-able." But if we look at hunger more closely, we will see that villainy is only part of its heritage. Hunger is more like Edmund in "The Chronicles of Narnia." His cravings for Turkish Delights temporarily made him succumb to the wicked Witch until he broke through the cold inertia of her spell and re-created himself anew.
  • Is Self-Esteem Contrary to Christianity - The philosophy of self-esteem is probably the most influential doctrine to arrive on the scene in Christendom's recent history. At least in my lifetime, it has had as much affect, if not even more, on evangelical Christianity than the modern tongues movement that surfaced in the late 1960's.
  • The Perfect Golf Swing - We all dream of hitting the ball straight and far, landing softly on the green and rolling towards the hole, walk up to the ball, make the putt and move to the next tee...
  • Emotions - Why Do We Have Them? - We as human beings have a body and a mind. With the body, we move around and do work. With the mind, we think, and experience emotions. Imagine of a human being with no emotions whatsoever. Only a thinking machine who reacts to nothing emotional but makes scientific analysis. Imagine telling a joke to him/her. They will not laugh at it, but either ignore it or analyze the joke. They make life difficult for those around them.
  • Color Meaning--Unlock the Symbolism and Color Psychology of Common Colors - Color is a magical element that gives feeling and emotion to art, design, and advertising. By understanding color meaning, (or the psychology of color) you can choose the right color to support and emphasize your design. A dominant color or overall color scheme can determine the tone of your document.
  • 4 Steps To Finding Joy In Your Relationships - Usually we enter relationships hoping they will make us happy. We hope that this person is the right one, that we aren't repeating mistakes of the past, and that finally we will receive the love, support, companionship and admiration we have been waiting for. Each person has a shopping list of hopes and expectations, secret demands he/she is making of their partner and of relationship. When those are fulfilled, and continue being fulfilled, they are then willing to say that they have found a good relationship and they are happy Although this is kind of approach to relationships is normal and common, it usually brings disappointment.
  • Biophilia - Have you ever wondered what causes that warm glow inside, the sense of peace and exhilaration when walking through the woods or sitting by the ocean and watching the sunset? How about the beauty of a fresh snowfall clinging to trees, the smell and feel of the first warm day in spring, or the vistas of unspoiled prairies or mountain ranges? Watching animals in the wild or even the behavior and antics of our pets can affect us similarly. Virtually everyone is touched by such experiences even though we seem to be increasingly alienating and isolating ourselves from nature. Biologists call this phenomenon biophilia - defined as the human need for and love of natural places. As you canoe a beautiful, crystal clear stream, is not the mood changed when you come upon an old tire lurking in the depths?
  • Understanding The Different Dream Archetypes - The word archetype is actually derived from the Latin and Greek languages, but the world of psychiatry, particularly the work of Carl Jung, is what brought the word into common usage. Simply stated, an archetype is a prototype, or an original model. An archetype can also be used to mean the ideal example of a type.
  • Star Wars And Psychology: Embracing The Dark Side - A few evenings ago, some friends and I decided to watch the latest Star Wars film, Return of the Sith.
  • Who Is Evil? - The world is made of good and evil people. There are some, who are nothing but emperors of evilness. Hitler was one such person. There are many like him. But we also have evil persons in our society who are generally not considered evil, but are evil. Let me give my thoughts on such people. For me, a person who hits a stray dog with a stone just for fun is a bad person. One who gives pains to friends for no reason is a bad person.
  • Six Important Facts No One Tells You About Relationships - Most of us have many dreams about what relationships will be like or should be like.
  • Bible Road Map - Or the Road Less Traveled - In the last few years we have witnessed a woman who drowned her children just to keep her rich boyfriend. An ice skating competitor who had the legs of her top rival broken so she could win. We have seen a mother hire a hit man to eliminate her daughter's competition in baton twirling championships. Another man destroyed his pregnant wife to be able to play the field, and live the life of a playboy. Perhaps the most unbelievable of all was a woman who killed a pregnant woman then cut her open and stole her unborn baby.
  • Passion: Fire In Your Soul - Many people try to hold a raging fire within themselves, but it restlessly and relentlessly gnaws at their core. Some have tried to cover it up with alcohol, numb it with drugs, hide it with shopping, kids, work, or religion, or fuel it with sex. The Baby Boomers looked for eternal youth and to change the world. They thought they would never grow up, but they did. They thought they would change the world and they did.
  • Psychology as Religion: The Cult of Self-Worship by Paul C Vitz - It seems everyone you meet these days is a self-proclaimed psychologist. From radio talk shows, television interviews, romance novels, weekly magazines, to cliques at work; everybody has an opinion on the latest "mental illness." I was first introduced to practical psychology when I joined the United States Air Force in 1970. It was expected that Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) would become counselors to their subordinates. Profession military education devoted entire chapters and lectures on non-directive or eclectic counseling techniques. Maslow's hierarchy of needs was drilled into our heads. We were sternly warned to avoid any mention of religion, but instead to make ample use of psychological techniques.
  • Student-Teacher Relations - Studying process is not easy. Ask any student and the answer will be pretty much the same. It is not easy to cope with all the tasks and assignments given at the university on time, therefore there is no free time left. The absence of rest results into over exhaustion which prevents you from getting the most out of your studies. Constant depressions or just feeling low is quite familiar to students. It has nothing to do with the teenage period, it's all over and gone, when you are a college student. The cause is the atmosphere around you and the studying process. Let's try to get deeper into this problem. To study well, you have to be hard working, industrious, curious and longing for knowledge, but there will be no result without established stable good cooperation between students and teachers, tutors or professors.
  • Distinguishing of Your Temperament - Psychology is a very interesting science. With the help of it's achievements we can research the hidden corners of our souls. This can be really exciting and even make you discover something new about your personality and traits of your character. You can make numerous tests to determine what will your reaction be to a certain event, how you act in extreme situations, what is your aim that you don't notice, how well you get along with others. All the above stated questions and the answers you'll get make up your temperament, a psychological term used to show types of personality by I.P. Pavlov, famous scientist from Russia. He made a theory of temperament after doing some research on the topic and his theory is proved by experiments.
  • The Measure of a Man - Since the end of the Industrial Age, men have lacked proper male role models. Pampered by our cushy white-collar jobs, our hands had become soft and our will has turned to mush.
