Do not let a black cat cross your path. Or else you will get so unlucky that bad things will happen to you on that day. Or death may even come and that is surely something that you would want to happen. Now that is a belief that has been passed on for generations. Call it superstition. But there are people who believe in that and that is a reason why they do try to get out of harm's way by not letting a black cat cross their path. Because of this belief, black cats have become the symbol of a lot of bad things. They have often been pictured in media as the pets of witches and warlocks.
