With this acquisition by AOL, over 100M unique visitors a month are now going to be using the Yedda QnA platform, and power and enrich the QnA database that ArticleSphere.com and other Yedda partners benefit from. Moreover, this huge community will now also be exposed to ArticleSphere.com via the attribution of all questions originated from ArticleSphere.com

Yedda will continue to operate as a separate business unit, with a focus on growing and improving its Partners Program.

We’ve just instituted the daily approved articles report to the authors.

This daily report will consolidate and list all articles from an author that were approved and published by us in a particular day, and will be sent to the author via email by the end of the day. Of course, if no articles were approved and published by us for the day, then no report will be emailed to the author.

For example, if an author submitted 20 articles to us yesterday and 12 of these articles are approved and published today, then a report listing the 12 approved articles will be emailed to the author by the end of today. The same applies to the remaining articles, depending on which day they are approved and published.

Rejected and Deleted articles will not be listed in the report.

In essence, the daily email report will list the approved articles’ titles, and the locations or URLs (live links) that they were published on ArticleSphere.com.

This will benefit all contributing authors greatly as it gives them an overview of the number of submitted articles that were approved as well as the locations that they were published, at a glance.

It will also make searching for their approved and published articles easier because the locations or URLs are live links. With a single “mouse” click, they will be taken to their published articles where they could then check on the article formatting, etc.

In line with our TQM, we did a major article database clean-up last month.

During the exercise, we removed close to one thousand approved articles that did not meet our quality control criteria, violate our TOS & Publishing Guidelines, as well as those we deemed to be copied from private label articles.

This exercise is necessary to ensure the continued high standard and integrity of ArticleSphere.com, and will be a regular ongoing process.

To prevent your articles from being removed subsequently, all authors are advised to submit to us high quality, original articles that conform to our TOS and Publishing Guidelines.

In addition, we’ve also suspended several author accounts for persistent violation of our TOS and Publishing Guidelines. A case in point are those authors who do not read and rectify the errors in our article rejection emails to them, and therefore persistently submit new articles containing the same errors.

In this regard, we urge all authors to read our emails sent to the email address you used to register with us.

We’ve implemented the Bookmark button to ArticleSphere.com that will allow you to bookmark articles, or for that matter, any pages on the Site including blog posts, to more than 30 online bookmarking services such as Delicious, Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Facebook, Yahoo Bookmarks, Google Bookmarks, Technorati…

This is how the Bookmark buttons look like:

Clicking on any of these Bookmark buttons on a page will open up a new window that will enable you to bookmark that particular page, article or blog post to your chosen bookmarking services mentioned above.

This will make searching for your favorite articles in the future a breeze.

We’ve recently implemented the Captcha feature to the Author Sign-up, and Article Comment pages.

This is necessary in order to prevent automatic author account sign-ups by article submission software, and spambots spamming the article comment pages with junks.

Henceforth, all new author account sign-up will require the author to physical visit the author sign-up page, fill in the details and input the Captcha Image Code before hitting the submit button, failing which, the sign-up will not go through.

The same applies to posting your comments about an article, that is, the Captcha Image Code must be inputted before your comments can go through.

Since implementing this Captcha feature about a week ago, we’ve seen the number of auto author account sign-ups by article submission software, and spams on the article comment pages by spambots, reduced to zero. This will go a long way in ensuring the high standards and quality of ArticleSphere.com
