PayPal Picks Singapore For Regional Headquarter
California-based PayPal, Inc., which is owned by the popular online auction site eBay, recently opened a new company in Singapore, PayPal Private Limited, which will serve as its regional headquarter.
Outside the United States, Canada and the European Union, it will serve customers from 25 countries which include countries in Asia, and as far afield as South America and Africa.
Singapore was chosen to be the regional headquarter “because of its business environment and strong base of IT and financial services expertise”, PayPal spokesman Jamie Patricio said in e-mail to The Straits Times.
With the setting up of its regional headquarter in Singapore, Paypal has further streamlined its operations and will go a long way to better serve its customers.
