Halloween - a creative time to dress up and be something different. It's a great way to discover your fun and playful side. What if you cold be WHO you wanted to be NOW? We all feel like we have to act a certain way throughout our lives, responsible, accountable. "Who" are we really? When you let out your playful side, what does it feel like?
Where are you in life right now? What are you creating that makes you feel good. Do you find you end up doing things for others that you really don't have time or energy for? We say "yes" to doing things for other people when we really don't want to do. When that happens, we end up giving our power away. We say "yes" when we really want to create boundaries, we want to say "no".
Your life is moving at a remarkably fast pace. You get up, get ready and start your day. Are you out the door, bracing for rush-hour traffic, heading to work? Are you rushing to get the kids ready, lunches and backpacks packed, and off to school? Have you been up for the midnight, 2am and 4 am feedings, and are now getting up at 6am, ready to “start” your day? Let’s not forget about the deadline at work and the science project your child (and you) has to do for the science fair.
This has been a topic on everyone's mind lately. Do you feel pulled in many directions? Are there just not enough hours in a day? Oh, and what about taking a few quiet minutes for yourself? Too many people burn the candle at both ends. They paddle upstream, working very hard and never arriving at their destination. Yes, we all seem to be leading busier than ever lives, but there is a way to bring your life into balance.
Inner peace is an inner calmness you feel when you have worked through unresolved issues, emotional blocks, disturbances that hold you back and the adrenaline that seems to feed it all. Inner peace is a connection to one's spirit and the trust to listen to your inner guidance system. You have a choice whether to experience inner peace or let outer turmoil get the best of you.
On March 16, 2008, 60 Minutes ran a segment on sleep call The Science of Sleep; it explains what can happen if we don’t get enough. This really made me think...
Well being means supporting yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It's time to release old energy and make space for new ideas. Spring is about rebirth. Are you ready to give a little time to yourself to create new awareness and balance in your life?
