The typical 'mint' is the hard candy that it comes in different shapes, styles and flavors. The mint nowadays is an ingredient that is used in a wide variety of candies from jellybeans, to chewing gum, to chocolate. The s'more is a typical marshmallow that is cooked and melted or marshmallows that are roasted then sandwiched between crackers or eaten directly. Roasting of marshmallows over an open flame is a tradition of many Americans, almost like a rite of passage.

The name 'marshmallow' is actually the combination of 'mallow' from mallow plant and 'marsh' from the word marshes. Unknown to most of the public is that this gooey treat has been enjoyed since the time of the pharaohs and royal families of Ancient Egypt.

What sets the jellybean apart from other candies is its special shell coating. This is achieved by the panning process. There have been two types of jellybeans since 1976. These are the traditional and the gourmet jellybeans. The traditional jelly bean normally holds its flavor only in the shells. The gourmet varieties however have flavored shells and centers.

At the present day, blowing bubbles has become a tradition that friends and families have where they pass on the joy of blowing bubbles with bubble gum. In 1928, Walter Diemer was able to discover the bubble gum recipe by accident. He was experimenting with different gum recipes when he stumbled upon a mixture that started to form bubbles. He took this discovery and brought it to a grocery store to test it. All the gum was sold in a single day.
