There's good news and bad news coming out of Ecuador for miners such as Ascendant Copper. The good news is that a government led by President Rafael Vicente Correa is about to take on a rewriting of the nation's constitution, as well as its mining laws and legislation, which may well pave the way for all parties to realize some benefit from the country's mineral resources.
