Lead fraud is possibly the largest obstacle to successful lead gathering via Affiliate marketing on the internet. Finding pre-qualified leads online can be either very successful or very frustrating depending on how you set up your program to deal with fraud.

Click fraud and Google Adsense. What affiliate marketers should watch out for.

If you're using AdWords or AdSense you must have heard about an emerging practice in the underworld of computing called "click fraud". But what exactly is click fraud and how is it accomplished?

Most people would define affiliate marketing as a way to promote an online business using advertising. Affiliate programs pay affiliates (also known as publishers) based on how much business they bring to the merchant. Affiliate marketing is a form of commission or revenue sharing advertising. You should know that the words “affiliate marketing” are sometimes associated with Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or network marketing so many merchants opt to use “performance marketing” instead.

Merchants need to monitor the actions of their affiliates to defend themselves against online fraud from stealing your income.
