Many passengers have no clear information as to how much luggage they are allowed to carry while traveling in the Indian railway. There are three slabs for the allowed goods limit. They are the Free Allowance, Marginal Allowance, and Maximum Quantity Permitted. The quantum allowed varies with class of travel. Up to the charge-less limit it is free; within the Marginal Allowance it is allowed to be carried in the compartment and it need be booked; and beyond the Marginal Allowance limit and within the Maximum quantity Permitted limit it need be booked and to be carried in the brake-van. UK Networks being pressured to include 08 numbers. Regulator says they should be treated as landline numbers. Industry regulator Ofcom is pressuring the mobile networks in the United Kingdom to include 0870 numbers in the allowance of bundled minutes on mobile phone contracts. Many organisations use these 0870 numbers to hide the location of their business, many smaller local companies feel that it gives their company a more ‘national’ feel, making their companies seem bigger or more substantial than they actually are. Okay so last week the industry regulator Ofcom announced that that they would like all mobile networks to include 08 numbers in the allowance of minutes and messages that come with mobile phone contracts. Ofcom believe that the pricing of 08 numbers is much too confusing and that many customers are still unaware that they will be charged extra for calling. Ofcom say that the numbers are classed as local or national numbers and so should be charged accordingly, since ‘normal’ landline numbers are included, 08 numbers should also be.
